you got that mixed up dude, tommy wrote the guitar, vocals all the music and brought it to rehearsal

check the credits! ok ok

Axl may have won the fight but i think most of u would pick axl in a fight with Mike Tyson.
Are u really picking cause its your hero? or are you judging without prejudice?

also izzy and axl are about the same size.

late 80's vince was stronger and bigger and equally as fast.

in a fight anyone could win but u all act like axl wouldve totally dominated him and i think thats hero worship talking.

 rofl

This thread is a crack up.

Why do all these bands want GnR & Axl to come back?  I'll tell you why, in a nutshell... because modern day rock SUCKS.  There are a few decent bands out there now, but it's nothing like the late 80s, early 90s heyday.

We are being choked to death with the likes of lollipop rock from Britney and JLo.  puke

Not many bands out there know how to rock anymore, and we need a true rock and roll bad boy to come out and show us how it's done, to come out and knock us on our ass.  headbanger

None of the guys in Motley are bad enough to fill that position.  They used to be the bad boys until GnR hit the scene and showed them to be the puffs of smoke that they've become.

Metallica USED to know how to rock, but they lost their balls before they lost their hair.

Because we all know Prince could kick his ass!

I wonder what 80s L.A band will be the next one offering Axl advice. Warrant? Poison? Maybe one of those bands from The Decline Of a Western Civilization 2?

I?m not a fan of '80s L.A bands.

He's like the Wizard of Oz behind
♩Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high
There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby.....♩

Cor Blimey!  Shocked I knew Robin was The Tin Man and Buckethead was The Scarecrow, But I couldn't make out who the rest of the band figure as, let alone this one.

Axl wasn't into getting wild. I think that's his inner-emo. He's so fucking artsy.

You're right about this thread turning stupid but you're mistaken about D's idol Vince being able to beat up anybody.? The one punch he got in on Izzy and the one punch he got in on that guy in Texas were both sucker punches.? He blind-sided both those guys.? ?Roll Eyes

I remember when St. Anger came out and in almost every interview Lars and Hetfield talked about Axl.? Now it seems that the Crue guys are doing the same thing.? Do youze think it's them that's obsessed with Axl or the mags & interviewers who keep bringing Axl and the rivalry up?

I think it's both. Some of those people probably like to mention Axl since they're from the same era and they can make themselves look better by being compared to somebody who's band didn't stay together etc.

But I think it's also about fascination with Axl and how he just disappeared. Maybe some writers think that since these people were around at the same time, they'll get answers to why Axl disappeared from them. Axl's not talking so let's ask somebody who he toured with in 1987 or 1992.

/jarmo

Interesting point!  I've noticed this "trend" as well (and I like it, so I have more material for my scrap books  Grin).  But I really think it's the media's/interviewer's idea...I recently saw a Rolling Stone article w/ Lars, and in the content section, they mention he talks about Axl.  Then w/ the pg containing the interview, in big letters at the top, there is mention again about Axl.  It really seemed like the editors wanted ppl to read the article/draw thier attention---and they feel that a celebrity talkin about Axl (or maybe any other important celebrity) will get ppl to read the interview?
ps.  not too sure if this article was ever brought up, but for those of you who care, Lars mentions that Axl is similar to Bill Clinton---when he walked in a room everyone is drawn to him.  The interviewer pushes more Qs regarding Axl, and wants Lars opinion of him.  Lars mentions that Axl has 2 sides--a really nice guy, and a tempramental guy (esp. when off the medication).  Nothing new there.... 1. Guns N' Roses is a better band than Motley Crue could ever be...
2. Motley Crue was like a shitty version of KISS.
