A couple of days ago I got Motley's live DVD "Lewd Crued & Tattooed" and I can say that Vince is far from what I could describe as "good shape"(at least at the Maximum Rock tour period)
He's -well- fat and in the songs he often goes out of key... Sad

I hope the guys reunite and get sth going cause I'm really-really into them beer ok

I got that DVD it's ok but their best DVD is definately their Greatest Video Hits one all the vids rock and Tommy and Nikki do like a documentary thing talking about all the vids and the guys are so hysterical

well to tell you the truth the Greatest Video Hits DVD made me want to go n get sth live from them(till then I only owned "entertainment or death"-no bootlegs). That DVD (Video Hits) is definately a best buy ok, although the live one (lewd crued tattooed) isnt a bad buy from a certain point of view. I love the decoration of the stage ,samantha maloney on drums drool(well since tommy wasnt there I think she was a good choice -and randy no) and the crowd creates a great feeling.

The only sad thing is that its censored(at least my version) crying

Hell its Motley Crue not Britney or sth rant!!!

The Hawaiian Tropic Girls and the Hooters Girls joined rocker Vince Neil on May 6 in Malibu, California for the 2004 Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament. The event raised more than $100,000 for the T.J. Martell Foundation, in memory of Vince's late daughter, Skylar. Fans can still participate by donating to ZRock Crue for the Cure's online rock-a-thon (http://www.zrock.com) through the end of June. Everyone who donates any amount is eligible to win a guitar signed by Vince Neil, premium tickets to see Vince Neil live in concert, and OZZfest 2004 tickets. The drawing will be held in Los Angeles on July 1, 2004. One hundred percent of all donations will directly benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation.

Vince Neil officially confirmed the 2005 Motley Crue Reunion/Farewell Tour in a live interview on May 5 with LA's XTRA Sports Talk 690 to promote the Golf Tournament and ZRock Crue for the Cure's online rock-a-thon. "Today Motley Crue confirmed sixty dates for next year for our new tour with all the original members. It's basically our farewell/reunited tour."

In 1995, Vince Neil lost his four year old daughter Skylar to stomach cancer. The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation (http://www.skylarneil.org) has donated nearly $1 million to various charity organizations for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research. The T.J. Martell Foundation (http://www.tjmartellfoundation.org) was founded in 1975 by music industry executive Tony Martell and his colleagues in memory of his son, T.J., a victim of leukemia. To date, the Foundation has raised more than $175 million to fund research into innovative cures and treatments of leukemia, cancer and AIDS at nine research facilities throughout the United States.

If you ever get the chance download Skylar's Song by Vince Neil it is extremely good, great news about M?tley Cr?e in 2005 seems like it is on for sure now also good to hear about Vince in a positive light doing something worthwhile ok

Does anyone know these dates for their tour next year, and where they'll be held?

On Monday night, Nikki was given the Spirit of Hammer Award, a lifetime achievement honor for his contribution to rock at the UK Metal Hammer Awards.

Great to hear not only did he have a legendary career with M?tley Cr?e but now he's starting another one with the extremely great Brides of Destruction

Ok it was more the atmosphere and the excitement that made it good i mean the rest of the band handled it really well, obviously Nikki does but London still did an ok job.  He seemed more at home for obvious reasons on the Brides material he was fucking amazing on Shut The Fuck Up.  Overall the 7 track set of their at Download was amazing.  When they came on i went from feeling crippled and knackered to full of fucking life, even Metallica failed to do that for me.  They were in my top 4 bands of the weekend with Monster Magnet, Hurricane Party & Arch Enemy

http://www.motley.com/Albums/Crash2.html

Music To Crash Your Car To, Vol.2 will be out soon and the tracklisting looks more impressive containing a few more rarities i do have most of the stuff but tracks like Black Widow i don't have and since my love for M?tley Cr?e keeps growing and now that i have a half decent job i may buy this yes

In other news Vince Neil seems to be a bit cheap these days, all M?tley Cr?e are full price but then you have this bargain http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=CD&title=136914&p=34&c=&g=48

From CNN.com:

Motley Crue members in reality shows

Tommy Lee, Vince Neil each have a show
Friday, September 10, 2004 Posted: 12:50 PM EDT (1650 GMT)

NEW YORK (Billboard) -- Motley Crue members Tommy Lee and Vince Neil have signed on to star in separate reality shows.

Lee has inked a deal with NBC for a reality series centered on his enrollment in college. The still-untitled show is currently in development and does not yet have a premiere date. It will follow the former Crue drummer as he experiences college life at a university to be announced.

In 2002, Lee had a development deal with VH1 for a reality show, but the network declined to pick it up as a series and instead aired it as a special, "Tommy Lee: The Naked Truth." Lee's autobiography, "Tommyland," will be published October 19 by Atria Books.

Meanwhile, Crue singer Vince Neil will star in VH1's "The Remaking of Vince Neil." The show, which is still in the pilot stages, will document Neil's attempt at a career comeback with the help of makeover specialists. VH1 has not announced if it's picking the pilot up as a series.

Last year, Neil was part of the first-season ensemble cast of the WB's "The Surreal Life," which chronicled the activities of various celebrities living together in the same house.

Motley Crue is reportedly eyeing a reunion tour for 2005. Its last tour with all four original members collapsed due to inter-band squabbling in 1999; Lee was absent from a 2000 outing.

By the way, did anyone hear that Vince will be leading the chicken dance in the Cincinatti Oktoberfest this year?  The surreal life, indeed.  Huh

Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars recovering from hip replacement surgery

LOS ANGELES - Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars was recovering Wednesday after undergoing hip replacement surgery, his publicist said.

Mars, 53, whose real name is Bob Allen Deal, has been suffering from a degenerative, rheumatic disease called ankylosing spondylitis for some time, publicist Katie McNeil said.

"The doctor was pleased with the surgery," McNeil said of the procedure that occurred Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She said doctors expect Mars to walk with the help of a physical therapist soon.

Doctors said the disease causes ligaments and tendons to attach to the bone. The affected area becomes inflamed and some of the bone may erode. There's no cure for the disease, but the pain can be minimized anti-inflammatory drugs and some of those afflicted have to undergo surgery.

McNeil said Mars, an original member of Motley Crue, was looking forward to a full recovery so he could possibly join group for a comeback tour. All original members of the band have not played together in six years, McNeil said.

"The band has been talking of possibly doing a reunion tour," McNeil said. "He would do it if the tour happens."

Looks like if there is a reunion tour it will be a while off i can't see Mars recovering soon and the band won't do it without him.  Also with it being a degenerative disease if they don't get back together soon they never will, Mars' condition will only get worse.

Mick is an underrated guitarist.  I always thought that he was the most rational guy in the band.  It's like he said with regard to the comeback tour - "Just put on your guitar and play.  What's the big deal?"

According to Britain's Metal Hammer magazine, the original M?TLEY CR?E lineup of Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drums), Vince Neil (vocals) and Mick Mars (guitar) will play the following U.K. dates in June 2005:

Jun. 14 ? Glasgow, UK @ SECC
