Motley are what Rock N' Roll is all about!! Their music is aging quit well I might add, I can still listen to it weekly - something I can't say for a lot of bands - Now go listen to your life changing Tool albums.

I don't give a rat's ass what critics think of this bands past! I love all the albums up to DOD.

P.S. Motley are one of the world's most underrated bands.

i found it hard to find a rocking feel in the middle of all the tribal drums and weird effects on the guitar.

I like my rock energetic, and most of the time simple.

I want some big drums, cool riffs and some good strong vocals.

I grew up with a mix of bands being played, the rock ones appealed to me.

Those usually were. AC/DC, RATT, Oasis, Sex Pistols.

Obviously as i grew up n found my own music i got into alot of stuff but i believe my love for rock comes from hearing those bands alot at a young age.

ok I dont mind Motley Crue but give me a fuckin break. they are the definition of style over substance. They are almost as calculated as the popstars you see today.

as soon as music broke free from 80s cheese metal they were left in the dust forced to sellout to every musical trend that came along.

notice how those "musical trends" as you put them lasted about 3 years max. When this so called "80s cheese metal" lasted and defined a decade.

Yeah, i think its got a lot more to it, than just some shitty alternative bands that are big for about a year then turn into a pub band.

Take Limp Bizkit for example.

I bought the album when it came out and have only listened to it once, but not because I didn't like it.  I've bought a lot of albums recently and they've taken precedent.  I'll give it another spin soon though.  I liked it the first time around.

I couldn't disagree more.  First of all, they came out before any of the cheese/glam metal bands.  They are really one of the founders of 80's metal.

They have been around for over 20 years, have consistently put their music out there, have consistently toured over the years and they are all  original members!!!  They have always stayed true to their style and their music which are both truly original!  They are all about what rock/metal music is about...sex, drugs and rock n roll!  They are who they are and they are still rockin' the free world!  Come on, you got to give credit where it's credit is due.

ya whatever. I enjoy listening to their music, Im just not in denial about what they are. They put out fun records in the 80s and were super popular, but got left in the dust after the 90s rolled in. to try and compensate for this they crafted their music to whatever was "cool" at the time and you cant deny that.

the record they put out in 94, someone already said they were trying to sound like every other band in 1994. I cant argue with that but i still think that was an awesome record.

My brother purchased Saints of Los Angeles I listened to it there was some good songs but the sound just seemed stuck in the 80's.
