I guess they are returning the favor as Bon Jovi did a song called Stick To Your Guns in 88, Crue did one called that back in like, 83 .

So...I'd picked up Saints of Los Angeles for Rock Band...but hadn't had a chance to listen/play it til last night.
I am not what I would consider the biggest Crue fan on the planet. I certainly listened to my fair share of them when I was in middle school/early high school, but they weren't one of my favorites. Never saw them in concert and I'm not sure I ever owned one of their albums.
All that being said....I REALLY like Saints of Los Angeles. It's got a great vibe to it...I think they caught that 80's LA Rock scene REALLY well with the song. And based on that song along, I'll pick up a copy of the album.
So, for me....it looks like their idea to promote the album using rock band "worked".... I would probably NOT have otherwise heard the song, and I almost definitely would not have picked up the album.

The new single (thank god for new music) has peaked this week at #7 on the mainstream rock chart. It is their 2nd biggest hit since "Home Sweet Home" in 1992.
The only other higher charted song was "If I die tomorrow" which hit #4 on the mainstream rock chart.
I see Saints of Los Angeles hitting higher than #4.
Can't wait for the crue album

It must be great to live in America right now where there is a little resurgance.
Unlike my bland country which still pushes pussy music.

Wait.. so.. the new single is number 7 on the rock chart and it's their biggest hit since 1992.
Yet a few years ago they released a single that got to number 4 on the rock chart..
I can see you passed maths.

Really?
That would be the re-release of HSM, would think the original was bigger or DR.Feelgood.
Love the song, very heavy yet still catchy and groovy

Saints of Los Angeles stayed idle @ #7 on the mainstream rock chart.
I thought it would cut into the chart, but stayed even.

Tara Hagan of The Sarnia Observer reports: M?TLEY CR?E has a message for Sarnia [Ontario, Canada] councillor Dave Boushy and his objection to their upcoming performance at Sarnia Bayfest [music festival taking place this July in Sarnia].
Speaking via conference call Wednesday, rock's bad boys jumped at the opportunity to comment on Boushy's claim their off-stage antics are pornographic.
"He's right," said bass player Nikki Sixx. "People like him are always out to attack rock and roll, you know. God bless them, man. They keep our name in the press and re-ignite our passion to hold up our middle finger to all those people who really don't understand."
"If that's how these people have to get a little press, then that's their problem," said Sixx, who then used a common expletive to describe the councillor.
Last month, the 78-year-old Boushy sparked a furor after he suggested that the band?s sexual exploits and shocking behavior could damage Sarnia's image.
He called for a motion that the city have a say in which acts perform at the annual summer festival.

I previewed a few tracks on the new album and I wasnt impressed by anything I heard outside of Saints Of Los Angeles.
THey sounded very generic the tracks i previewed.
Hopefully the full songs will sound better.
I didnt do the whole album as I wanted to leave some surprises.

I've listened to the Amazon previews, and have echo your disappointment in some respects. Then again, they never give you a guitar solo or anything on those previews, so you never know what you're missing.
I heard some good riffs, and it sounds pretty heavy...but Vince just doesn't seem to carry it the way he used to.
But, hey, they're just previews. I'll give it a shot with the full tracks when it comes out. Sometimes previews lead you astray.
