Mar. 10 - Owensboro, KY - Executive Inn Expo Center
Mar. 23 - Libertyville, IL - Austin's Saloon
Mar. 24 - Fountain Hills, AZ - Ft. McDowell Resort And Casino
Mar. 28 - Sydney, Australia - Sydney University
Mar. 29 - Melbourne, Australia - The Palace

Apr. 01 - Perth, Australia - The Capital

Vince Neil will be performing the red-hot hits of M?TLEY CR?E (including "Kickstart My Heart", "Girls Girls Girls", "Dr. Feelgood" and "Home Sweet Home") with his all-star band featuring Dana Strum (SLAUGHTER, VINNIE VINCENT INVASION) on bass, Jeff Blando (SLAUGHTER) on guitar and Will Hunt (TOMMY LEE, DARK NEW DAY, SKRAPE) on drums.
The hard-hitting Will Hunt is no stranger to M?TLEY CR?E, having substituted a tendonitis-suffering Tommy Lee last year for some shows on the CR?E's "Carnival of Sins" tour. He previously toured the world playing drums in Tommy Lee's solo band.
Support on Vince Neil's Australian tour will come from New York City rock sensations the SEX SLAVES.

My two favourite albums in the Motley catalogue are also the ones that are most divided amongst the fans, and that the band seems to ignore in their current setlists - their self-titled 1994 album with John Corabi on vocals, and their 1997 reunion album Generation Swine with Vince back in the band.
The 1994 album is easily my favourite of the two, and in my opinion Motley's best effort.
I swear I've been listening to this album in my car stereo non-stop for the last few weeks, and it sounds just as good, hell, I'd even say it sounds better today 13 years later after I bought it!
This album came out at the height of the grunge era and because they had a new singer and new sound, it wasn't embraced as it should have been. Which is a real shame because it's a really great heavy rock album.
Old-school Motley fans disliked it because there was no Vince and a different, much heavier rock sound than the 80's glam rock they were famous for. And young kids didn't embrace it because they already had a whole bunch of new bands of their own, rather than listening to an 80's band trying to update their sound.
With the addition of John Corabi on vocals and guitar, it allowed the band to push their sound even further and the entire band gives top rate performances throughout the whole album. Tommy's drumming is some of his best work and Mick's solos/riffs are his best too. And with Bob "Metallica black album" Rock behind the production everything sounds huge!
As for Generation Swine, the band had reunited with Vince Neil, but they still continued to push the envelope with sounds and styles, even going as far as working with electronic samples and loops on some songs. Apparently most of these songs were left-over from the sessions with John Corabi to follow up the 1994 album, so the band still sounds great on most of these songs too.
Sadly though, the public wasn't into the idea of an 80's band trying to update their sound, even with the original lineup in tact, so this came out and didn't do too well either.
Since then the band went back to the cheesy 80's style that I kinda despised them for, and have chosen to ignore these great albums as if they were never recorded.
I'd like to think that in a perfect world, the 1994 lineup of Motley Crue would still be together and putting out kickass heavy rock to the same success as 80's Motley Crue did with Vince Neil.
Is anyone else here a fan of these two great underrated albums?

As of February, 2006 (when I saw them on the third leg of their world tour, pre-Aerosmith) they were promising a new album. I'd just be happy with another show. It was a fun night!

M?TLEY CR?E bassist Nikki Sixx's press conference from this year's Download festival,
On the topic of the group's current touring schedule, Sixx said, "We love to play live. There's only two more shows for us and we won't be playing again until sometime next year, maybe '09, depending on how it goes on making a record."
According to Sound Generator, M?TLEY CR?E rocked the Dimebag Darrell Stage at Download on Saturday (June 9) in its own imitable style.
Crashing though a hits-led set, which opened with "Dr Feelgood" and closed with a cover of the SEX PISTOLS' "Anarchy in the UK" sandwiched between "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Kickstart My Heart", the band was enjoying all the delights the festival had to offer.
"It has been a long time since we last played here and hot fuck we just keep coming back," said singer Vince Neil, before Nixxi Sixx added: "England has made a lot progress on the groupie front since we were last here. I've just had two groupies backstage sucking my dick and they just happened to be sisters."

I have to say, richardnixon, I dont listen to crue as much as I used to, BUT they were one of my first Rock bands that got me into Rock. so they are special to me.
it was Guns n' roses, KISS, Motley Crue and AC/DC that really made me get into RNR. hence my name!

Motley Crue Sues: Our Managers F'ed Us!
Posted Jun 18th 2007 7:49PM by TMZ Staff
Legendary hard rockers Motley Crue have filed a $20 million lawsuit against one of their managers, claiming "greed," "extortionist tactics" and terrible career advice caused the band to lose millions of dollars in profits and tarnished the band's stellar reputation.
In the lawsuit, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the four founding members of the band (Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee) through Motley Crue Inc., claim manager Carl Stubner and Sanctuary Management Group gave them bad business advice and attempted to "divert revenue from [the band] and redirect it to themselves. Furthermore, the suit claims, Stubner forced Tommy Lee to "to become engaged in 'reality' projects that were bad career moves for Lee, harming [Sixx, Mars, Neil and Lee], the Motley Crue brand and Lee's own image." The suit calls the low-rated NBC show "Tommy Lee Goes to College" a "critical disappointment and a ratings disaster," adding it painted Lee as "incoherent, lazy and incompetent" and made him "look like a laughing stock who could not carry a drum beat." The suit also claims Lee's participation on "Rock Star: Supernova" "diminished the public's interest in Lee and their overall perception of his musical talents."
Because Lee was so busy doing reality TV, the band says he was unavailable to tour with the Crue, thus causing the cancellation of several key concert dates. The band claims that they lost $8 million in ticket and merchandise revenue because of Lee's scheduling conflicts. The band claims these conflicts were "both real and concocted" by Stubner to "leverage his control over Lee to his financial advantage and to Motley Crue and Lee's detriment."
A call to Sanctuary was not immediately returned.

I'd love to hear what Gilby has to say about the Rockstar Supernova issue-Tommy's solo projects are ok, how did the manager force Tommy to do these things? It seems like when things fail for Tommy or Motley (record company "forced" them to kick Corabi out and bring Vince back). I thought Tommy going to school was a funny show-of course nothing special, and you could tell it was mostly scripted/set up. His solo albums just weren't that great, and he never toured behind them. For years we heard about Tommy wanted to break out of Motley and create his own music-Tommy and Gilby, in my opinion, made a dated sounding Rockstar Supernova album with no single on it, and it bombed. Motley really have not had a hit since Primal Scream in the early 90's-instead they've turned into Kiss where they just tour and put out greatest hits albums (3 so far to count)-I used to like Motley, but they just don't even really make new music anymore

I'm not sure that bad management, if that's what it was, equates with $20 million lawsuit worthy management.
Tommy's solo stuff...well, who's surprised it didn't do well? I'm not.
The best part, of course, is the idea that these things "tarnished the band's stellar reputation."
If that's the case, they should have sued themselves after publishing "The Dirt."
Best book ever, by the way.

In response to the lawsuit, Stubner and Sanctuary have issued the following statement:
"Neither Carl Stubner nor Sanctuary Artist Management Inc. (nor any other Sanctuary company) have ever managed M?TLEY CR?E or any members of M?TLEY CR?E other than Tommy Lee. Mr. Stubner and Sanctuary continue to manage Tommy Lee and make no apology for having effectively managed, promoted and furthered Tommy's career with great success. Mr. Stubner and Sanctuary will vociferously defend this lawsuit which is utterly and entirely without merit or basis."
