Hes an awesome performer, but hes not that great a bassist?
I think hes more credible for being the main song writer, and the dude behind alot of the marketing strategies the band did. image and theatrics etc!!!

His book is cool also

I don't see any striking similarities that stand out very broadly but I agree. But it has been noted the band has been influenced by Crue as well as other bands; David Bowie, Judas priest, etc...

Bowies influence is HUGE on the Mechanical Animals era. Look at the image, the sound of the album, and Manson doing an alter ego name as "omega".

Big Bowie influence on that album. Its also my favorite Manson album and era. If you wanna continue the discussion on Manson. Shall we wack out some shiz in the Manson thread?

Was the music scene you were part of, grunge bands by any chance? usually only grunge fans have such a narrow minded jack off opinion of everything because they think there music scene, which only lasted 3 years maximum is the best music ever.
