Well, for my part I am familiar with both. Gein because of the Silence Of The Lambs (the charater played by Ted Levine) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that were based on his behaviour. As for Meiwes, since I live in Belgium, we heard a lot about it in the media, Germany being one of our borders
