What's up..... homefuck!

« on: September 11, 2007, 04:02:54 PM »

Below is a RUMOR/posting from velvetrope.com.  Like all the rumors, it's probably BS.  However, what do you think- would this be a good strategy for Axl- to leverage the success of past hits to introduce fans to the new tunes, introducing CD soon thereafter???  Like everyone, I want CD as soon as possible, but something like this could help to "walk" fans from the old band into the new...

According to a source at Universal, ?The Best Of Guns N? Roses?, due November this year, features unreleased tracks from the upcoming ?Chinese Democracy? album. A friend close to the source said this is Axl?s version of the Greatest Hits, supposed to calm the fans down and test waters for the new band. He said they were also releasing a music video with this. No word about a release date for that mystery album though.

it'd just be taking a step backward, and would serve to confuse fans. It even confuses me. Whats he gonna do if the "tested waters" aren't friendly? Not release the album?

If he wants to calm fans down, just have an update, set a real release date, and do good promo.

I read this on the Velvet Rope too. ?All I can say is that if this is true, I'm personally offended that Axl would do something this shitty. ?Do we need another GH album? ?How many times can I buy the same fucking songs! ?And throwing a few new songs on there, doesn't show a whole lof of confidence in the new material. ?For whatever reason he REALLY does not want CD to see the light of day(if it even exists). ?This whole thing really has become a fucking joke. ?Why am I still supporting this shit? nervous

Axl, get your head out of your ass, and move on with your life. ?Embarrassed

Before you get offended and start cursing Axl, perhaps you should keep in mind this is just a rumor and there is nothing to suggest that it is even remotely true.

Also keep in mind, the person that posted this over there had one post, and it was that one.

Yeah - not too likely.

If that is the playlist (and i very much doubt it is, since i wouldn't imagine there's much, if any truth to this little rumour) then whoever made it has once again missed out on a number of fabulous songs.  Who would include Breakdown over Locomotive, and they've still missed out Nightrain.  But i very much doubt theres any truth to this.

indeed, and besides some different tracks at the end, its the same as GH I. I guess Axl was so pissed with some tracks at the end, he'd rather there were come Chinese Democracy tracks on there? I dont think so,

There is no way Axl is going to actively try and put out another greatest hits album this year. I am just hoping the label doesn't try and put out some type of greatest hits part 2 this holiday season given that rumor has creeped up in the past and it looks like another holiday season will pass for them with nothing else GNR related to release. A rumor is just a rumor, I just don't like even hearing any talk of another greatest hits.

I really hope this is not true because it would be a major mistake and it would also just show that all those people who said Axl can't do it without the old guys were right.
