Yeh, Harrison looks great! Go Indy!
Looks like in this film Indy also has a younger sidekick.
The younger sidekick is his son(supposedly with Marion from Raiders).
Though, that ain't actually been confirmed, best I know.
But we all know that it is, eh.

True enough. I should have said..The younger sidekick is(supposedly)his son, blah, blah.
But you're right, that's the rumor.

If this film had been released in the 1980's, I am sure it would have influenced the Iron Maiden classic 'Run to the Hills'

I rarely see a movie in the theater, but this one I will go out & see........
Been a fan of the franchise ever since my grandfather took me to see Raiders when I was a kid.

I'm really excited for the new Indy movie.
Spielberg always knows how to make and market movies for American audiences and he seems like he wants to pay homage to Indy fans and attempt to make the best Indy ever. I don't know if it can beat out The Last Crusade, but it'll definitely beat out Temple of Doom at the very least.
Great to see Harrison back on the big screen too. I miss his smartass humor.
P.S. Blade Runner = top 10 movies ever.

From Imdb:
I caught an advanced screening of the fourth Indiana Jones movie and I say I enjoyed it IMMENESLY!!! Wow, for years now I thought that after "War of The Worlds" Spielberg has lost his touch; not so here. Here he returns to the basic fundamentals of the lost arts of practicality and just plain good old fashioned genuine storytelling (something that's solely lacking in today's CGI-heavy world) helped along by the big guy himself Harrison Ford along with witty and charming Shia LaBeouf as a newcomer to the franchise with George Lucas lending some support to cinematography. Ford is simply amazing as the venerable adventurer with lots of impressive stunt work. Everything is bigger and better than before, the action is of high-caliber, the plot is thorough and exciting with intelligent writing coupled with awesome special effects. But what really surprised me was that it looked like it was filmed in the 1980's; something that's rare in this Digital Age!!! I'm sure those accustomed to digital film-making may be put off, but it actually works really well and gives the film an added dose of nostalgia and sense of wonder that Spielberg brought so successfully in his past films. Not many films can achieve that feat, but I can strongly say that Spielberg has gone out on top and brought back one the most beloved cinematic heroes around for one more time.
I welcome a sequel with open arms.

It's not that hard to understand why it's anticipated by many people, whether he's in his 60's or not. It's probably one of the two greatest(characters, stories, movies) of all time. The other being the original Star Wars.
People around here anticipate the next(album, song, comment) from someone they really respect and admire, and have waited a long time for this too.

Of course it is highly anticipated, particularly because for a while it seemed like this film was never going to come out. I think this is a big moment in contemporary film, if not films of all time, considering the legacy of the original trilogy to this day.
But at the same time, regardless of any reviews, hype etc, I'm still not going into this film with any expectations, particularly high.
We know, apart from money, one of the main motivations behind this film is nostalgia.
Without considering box office turnaround, since it IS one of the most highly anticipated films ever;
In terms of content, this film could either be a modern classic that recaptures the magic of the previous films and takes a worthy place in the franchise;
Or, it could be trying too hard to recapture past glories..

i believe harrison ford originally signed up for 4 movies. the long gap in between last crusade and this one is because it took george lucas so long to come up with a story and then of course get the script written by someone.
and yeah i dont care if hes 100 years old, its fucking INDIANA JONES!!!
this guy is a beloved character and a hero from when i was a kid. i cant fucking wait.

Theres a cool article up at ign called Excavating Indy. It talks about the development hell the movie went through as well as some stuff about the new one.

Eh, I loved the privious movies, and I'll check this one out. I really hope I'm wrong, but based on the trailer, it looks as its just another action movie that relies on CGI special effects instead of a good story. T3 was the same way. Big dissapointment.
