Overall career:
Glenn Danzig > Michale Graves
The Misfits:
Glenn Danzig < Michale Graves
Case closed. Flawless victory. The pissing match can end here
EDIT: Cash's version of "Hurt" can kick as much ass as it does, but it's still and will always be Reznor's song. Too many younguns are coming up without even realizing it's an NIN song. I thought that was blatantly obvious for all to see, but the amount of people who've started to believe it's a Cash original really scares me. Worked well for Cash. Worked better for Trent. He wrote it. About himself. Well, that's just my opinion. I don't think you're a retard if you disagree.
Sorry man I really could not disagree with you more. I love the graves stuff, but come on, the orignal Misfits songs are just so much better. Whether or not you prefer Graves vocals over Danzigs, which I don't but I could understand, ya gotta admit the songs were better. Lyrically a lot or the Graves stuff is more cartoonish as opposed to Danzigs Misfits lyrics which were incredibly fucked up a lot of the time but in that really fun way like when you see someone killed really gruesomely in a movie. And no song with Graves has melodies anywhere near as catchy as "Horror Business", "Astro-Zombies", "Night Of The Living Dead", "Halloween", "Horror Hotel", "Hyrbid Moments", and so on. And that's not even mentioning 'Earth A.D.', which is an amazing album start to finish. That album is basically the birth of Thrash and not many bands that have attempted that sound have come close to measuring up to songs like "Death Comes Ripping", "Blood Feast", "Earth A.D.", & "Demonomania".

Geez, what is it with this board and old line up vs. new line up fights!
I love Danzigs stuff and I love Graves stuff. To me they both had a bunch of amazing moments. It all comes down to preference.
As far as only Glenns stuff being 'The Misfits', I don't buy into that. Graves stuff is instantly recognisable as Misfits to me, and they produced enough material with him to live up to the name.

Sorry. Yes... Trent may think that Cash's version is better... but it is still Reznor's song. I appologize for confusing anyone (myself included). I stand by my original argument that Danzig is the better frontman of the Misfits. In my mind, the only frontman of the Misfits. Like crow316 said, "The Misfits was Glenns vision. His idea and his music." Almost everything about the Misfits is Glen Danzig. I don't think that the Misfits would be such a momumental band if it was Graves originally and not Danzig. As I said before, the only reason they even call themselves teh Misfits is because Glen lets them. And I do appologize for name calling. Not a good way to back up my argument. I am obviously the retard.
I am going to add to the topic by naming a few of my favorite Misfit songs. If you would like to add yours... by all means.

Well, that's rare. Apology accepted
Here's a bunch of my favorites, easy to pull up because I'm in the process of putting together a few mix CDs for a Halloween party my film group is throwing. Anyway, they're mostly Graves era songs, but I really mean nothing by it
"Halloween II"
"Dig Up Her Bones"
"Crimson Ghost"
"Mars Attacks"
"Hate the Living, Love the Dead"
"Shining"
"Don't Open 'til Doomsday"
"Scream!"
"Saturday Night"
"Pumpkin Head"
"Descending Angel"
"Monster Mash" (
Cuts from the Crypt
version)
"Fiend Without a Face"
"Bruiser"
"This Magic Moment"

Why...................Why oh why "Halloween II"!? lol sorry dude not trying to make fun, I just think that is Glen at his most pretentious.

The MISFITS "30th Anniverscary Tour" kicked off with a debut gig headlining the Topfest in Slovakia, followed by a slew of sold-out shows in Mexico. The band is currently on the road throughout Europe, with stops in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland from September 8 until October 5.
On October 11, 2007, the MISFITS "30th Anniverscary Tour" hits the U.S. and Canada, running non-stop like a ghost train from hell straight through to early December! Select dates will include a bone-chilling double bill as the MISFITS are joined by fiendish counterparts from Japan BALZAC supporting their latest CD/DVD combo "Deep Blue". In a marriage made in hell, the MISFITS perform a full set in honor of their 30-year legacy and BALZAC celebrates with a terrifying 60-minute set just before the MISFITS take to the stage!
Due to scheduling limitations with their itinerary in Japan, BALZAC will only be touring the U.S. from October 24 (in Montreal Canada) through October 31 in New York City.
