On to =VH=. Does anyone out there feel that this tour is slightly underwhellming?

No
I think with the state of rock and roll, people just don't care anymore unfortunately.  It's all about 50 Cent, Britney Spears, The Killers.  The nostalgia acts really don't crack the richter scale.  The Police came and went.  I never really felt like anyone made that big a deal about them.  From what I've heard VH has been putting on great shows and that's all that matters.

The great thing about the internet is that you can (if you choose) ignore popular culture. I wouldn't recognize a single 50 cent or Killers track, and maybe 1-2 Britney songs, and I really haven't followed any details of the Police tour - pretty good band, but I don't get how huge they were/are. On the other hand (again thanks to internet) I have 6 shows from the current VH tour on my iPod plus some video footage on DVD, so from my perspective it is a dominating event.

Those are some great points, and I totally agree.

Give the guy a break.

You wouldn't be looking that good if all you bones were fusing together for years either.

He has always looked old and creepy...

He practically looked like that 20 years ago, well before his health problems.

I thought that was a cool clip. Dave is at his best when he sings something bluesy.

I like A Little Ain't Enough, an underrated album, IMHO.

VAN HALEN: St. Louis Concert Postponed - Oct. 18, 2007

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a concert by VAN HALEN, originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 28, at Scottrade Center, has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict.

An announcement regarding a new date for the concert is expected soon.

All tickets for the postponed date will be honored at the rescheduled performance, Scottrade Center said on its web site. Refunds are also available at the original point of purchase.

The (totally speculative) opinion seems to be that they canceled St Louis so they could get the equipment to Boston on time,. They played a reportedly good show in Detroit last night after that show was canceled so I wouldn't worry too much.

I've been following it on the VH sites and that's the first time I heard this. Where did you get it from?
