I dunno if Axl's voice would be powerful enough, but something like Man In The Box or Rooster from Alice In Chains would be cool.. He could probably improve Walk This Way and maybe Angel by Aerosmith, too peace

Hello everyone
oh oh.....

I've always thought Axl' low voice is soooo delightful to hear and "feel"....
and I'd love to hear him sing Billy Idol's EYES WITHOUT A FACE...

Im all out of hope
One more bad dream could bring a fall
When Im far from home
Dont call me on the phone
To tell me youre alone
Its easy to deceive
Its easy to tease
But hard to get release

and I say I was welcomed to the jungle 15 years ago...

I think he should do some Johnny Cash songs - Ring of Fire, Walk the Line, his prison song, any Cash song would sound so awesome with Axl's voice!

I've said it before, I'll say it again.

To me.. it's a deadlock choice for the new band. They would breathe new life into this song and make it 2000-ish.

It's:

To Live And Die in L.A.  - by Wang Chung.

From the brilliant film of the same name. I dunno. But Axl and the band would kill this song.

It would be like "Since I Don't Have You" only with real grit.

And there are a thousand directions the beat could go (drums, loop, etc.) and tons of ways Finck and Fortus could 'color' this song. Or Bumble!

I may have said this already, but...

Straight To Video by Mindless Self Indulgence would be a really good song for him to cover. ok

one by U2 is the perfect song for axl and gnr

Axl actually did sing a few lines from this when he played Slane Castle, Ireland in 1992. I have it on a bootleg tape. He started off singing it quietly then his voice soared with, '...you asked me to enter but then you made me crawl and I can't keep holding on when all you got is hurt...' then Slash started playing Sweet Child

There's a ton of Buckethead stuff I'd want Axl to lay vocals on, especially Soothsayer and Final Wars.
