John Lennon's Imagine. Axl has the perfect voice for this song.

I`d like to see them cover *like a rolling stone* - great song
The Rolling Stones did a great job, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix also sung this too.
Forgive my ignorance, i have no idea who wrote it, probably one of the above 3

Steven's drumming made the band; he made a big musical difference. His sense of swing was the push and pull that gave those songs their feel, afterwards, nothing worked.

"Gimmie shelter" by the Rolling Stones. I can't think of a single song I have heard that better fits Axl's voice

He could do 'why does everybody call me big head?'
I'd like to see Axl do a full recording of Queen's 'Sail Away Sweet Sister', that'd be cool. The mellow side of his voice suited that song perfectly.
Maybe even a duet with Brian May, that'd be cool.

Well i never knew that
- Bob Marley has done a cover of *like a rolling stone* too
The video to *like a rolling stone* by the Rolling Stones is very entertaining. It would be hard to top.

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
Fuck yeah.
The best version of that song is the live in Berlin one, with Van Morrison. It's fucking incredible. I told Miz to check it out, any money the little bastard never did.

"Over the hills and far away" by Zeppelin....
Remember in "Patience" on the BOOZE bootleg, or GNR UNPLUGGED (same show)....before the "Imagine" bit Slash plays the opening riff to this classic tune....
I was so pissed they didn't play more! What a perfect song for Axl's voice...it starts off slow and soft, "Hey lady...you got the love I need..." and then it just ERUPTS and his voice could WAIL "Many have I loved!!"
Sigh.
Maybe someday, but probably not....

This question is too easy! The answer is Pearl Jam's In Hiding. Very appropriate.

Dylan wrote it, and thats where the Stones got their name.
Actually, The Stones got their name from the album 'Best of Muddy Waters' and the first track was called 'Rolln' Stones Blues'
Keith: Brian was on the phone talking to them, "We'd like to place an ad. We're available for work, and you can call us at..." The voice on the other end of the line obviously said, "What are you called" Panic.
The Best of Muddy Waters
album was lying one the floor - and Track One was 'Rollin' Stone Blues'. So tthe band's name was picked for us by Muddy Waters.
