« Reply #1142 on: July 19, 2006, 04:37:06 PM »

Anybody know what's going on here?

This pic is, if I'm not mistaking from St. Louis 07-02-1991 (The Riot show)

From  George Chin's picture book (page 100)
Axl's bodyguard, Earl, once risked his life to protect Axl from someone with a gun.

Axl was such a visionary that he had enough sense to wear a NIN shirt way before they made it big.

How stupid can ya get?  Why does some 'so called fan' go there with a view to ruin the show?!  I wasnt there but if a certain idiot at these shows carries on like this then the band will no longer trust us (UK fans) and go home early!  It also shows in the setlist as they havent been playing new songs!  They must think we don't like hearing them.

I always loved that Sin shirt.  I listened to NIN well before they were huge also. I guess I too am a visionary hihi i actually remember thinking how cool that Sin shirt was when I saw Axl wearing it because Sin at the time  was my favorite NIN song. Alot of music critics and journalists have said that had Pretty Hate Machine come out in 1990 or early 1991 it would've had the impact Nirvana's Nevermind had. imagine the shift in music trend had that happened.

I am with ya on that, Bono.  I first saw Axl wearing the "Sin" shirt during the Tokyo '92 performance.  Even though I didn't know it was a NIN shirt for the "Sin" sigle, I always thought the design was kind of cool.  Sadly, I didn't discover NIN until the latter part of 1993. Since then, Nine Inch Nails and Guns N'Roses have been my all-time favorite bands.  It was such a trip for me to see GN'R (5/13, 5/15, 5/17) and NIN (6/16 & 6/18) a month apart.  Truly a great time to be a fan of both bands.

The two I remember off the top of my head is:

Czechoslovakia 92: Duff & Gilby swopped Bass and Guitar at the end of Paradise City.

Oklahoma 92: Duff & Matt swopped Bass and Drums at the end of Paradise City.
