Actually that lookz as if he'z had it retouched BECAUSE of the fading over the yearz...
Tattooz get LIGHTER over time so itz only natural that to get it back to perfection he'd get it re-done...

Axl said in 1988: He got the tattoo so that it will always remind him of what once was and hope important things were at that time. I doubt he had it redone, until people seen this photo they thought he had had it blacked out and now it's jumped to him having it redone  |

Yeah, like I said, it is one of my favorite pictures of Axl. Its funny because one of the "nicknames" I've given Axl is "Rage". That picture fits that perfectly.
I'm glad you guys liked. Since it was in a Rolling Stone Magazine, I figured it wasn't that rare.
