Robert only had the opportunity to photograph the new band at the first Vegas shows in 2001 (in more difficult circumstances) and even those pictures were way better then the photos George took during the entire last two (or three?) GN'R tours. There is one picture George took during one of the '02-shows I guess that's really great. It features Axl on stage in a red coat. But that's an odd one out.
And it's not only in the onstage pics that you can notice a difference in quality. I visited Chin's site to look at the pictures of the other bands. There's really nothing special to them. Maybe Chin's just a nice guy to be around.
Nowadays it's easy, just take as many pictures as you can. It doesn't cost you anything. Some of them will turn out fine. In the 90's things were totally different!

Ok, so Robert John rock and george chin sucks.

Maybe they(gn'r) should try out a third photographer...

With all due respect, this thread is surely about actual photos of Axl.

My two pennies worth though. I am no photographer but they look like great shots to me!!

But the upshot is. Who gives a fuck about who is the best photographer? Its petty.

The band are back on the road in a week or so and that is what its all about!!!

Lets look forward to that!!!
