I agree, the song is awesome, if only the chorus was a bit better, the song would be nearly perfect.

It's good.

But not nearly as good as some other songs...

As someone else said the chorus lets it down, it's waaay too basic. It's a shame cos I really like the rest of the song.

American man is a great tune, I have loved it since the first time I heard it, I believe that was the first song I heard the week before the album came out..

I was watching the Sox/Yanks game on Fox today and they had a promo for Prison Break and "American Man" was the song played during it.  Pretty cool.  Also last week during the Pats/Jets game I heard them play "Let It Roll" coming out of one of the commercials.

gravedancer, does it for me, so much sentiment, the guitar work is great, not over the top just enough, the guitar work makes the song special!

It has a great solo... the best of the album. But besides that I don?t see anything special on that song. My fave of the album has to be Just Sixteen.  ok

I like Just Sixteen too, especially when (live) Slash sings "Just 16!" in what has to be a Cartman impression. No wonder he never sang!

Love the album too. Best LP I've heard in years.
