I bought a copy in Brazil a few years ago. The Brazilian edition was a re-edition so it wasn't worth what an original from the 80's could worth.

It was not banned. It was just some shops where cunts and refused to stock it. Simple. Geffen bowed to pressure and the band used the skull cross as the alt cover. It was never banned you could buy the original cover at sensible music shops.
