There's this contestant on this show Big Brother 8 called "Evel Dick" who's always saying how he's friends with all these rocker celebs.  So CBS interviewed some of these celebs and Dizzy Reed was one of them. 

Dizzy said something like "I'm with this band called Guns N' Roses"

I [Heart] Dick

In one of the more amusing canned segments, the Big Brother producers attempt to answer the question: is all of Dick's name-dropping an act?  Believe it or not, it isn't.  At some dive bar, members of Guns 'n' Roses and Alice Cooper sing Dick's praises.  The crowd starts cheering "We love Dick" as ladies in "I [Heart] Dick" shirts roam the club.  Much as I may hate Dick in the house, seeing all of his friends act so hilariously awesome makes me kind of like him.  Dick might be one of those people who is a whole lot cooler in real life than he is on the show.

I don't know how long it takes but not too long after these shows air, you can watch them for free on the tv stations web site.  The episode that's up now is the #15 that originally aired on Tuesday the 7th (which is the one prior to this one with Dizzy).

Dizzy's will be Episode #16 .... Original air date will be listed as Thursday 08.09.2007

i forget what he said exactly, but he referenced the fact that he knows him and supports him.

This Episode #16 is now up on the cbs website.? Dizzy is in Part 2 of 4 and that segment starts around the 2:24 mark with Dizzy on at around the 2:53 mark.? He's only on for a matter of seconds.

This is all he says:? I play keyboards for a band called Guns N' Roses ... and of course I know Evel Dick ...well he's not a name dropper...people drop his name.




The combination of the humble way Dizzy dropped the GNR name added to the fact that he did it on this particular show has given me a new love for Dizzy....

I played college football with Nick, the guy that was Evel Dick and his daughter's buddy and got voted off last week.  I have never watched the show before so I still don't really understand how it all works, but got an email telling me that he was going to be on it so I tuned in last month.  Totally weird seeing someone you know and partied with on reality tv.  I have busted out laughing a few times with some of his cheesy lines. 

I was real suprised Dizzy knew who Dick was.  I might use this connection to score an autograph.  Dizzy was literally on for five seconds, as I had it on DVR.  They showed him playing keys a couple quick times, once with his shirt off and once with it on.

Wow! I rarely watch the tube, but I think I will try to catch this show. I saw a short segment of the show once with this guy and I liked him, but I have been known to be an ... Thursday nights, it is in my calender.
