VELVET REVOLVER Selling 'Meet-And-Greet' Packages - Aug. 8, 2007

VELVET REVOLVER has just announced the sale of meet-and-greet packages for their current tour, beginning with the August 14 show at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Meet-and-greet packages include: an official VIP laminate, personal photograph with the band, and an exclusive 8x10 color poster and autograph. These packages are available at a cost of $250 per person via the VELVET REVOLVER tour page.

Please note that meet-and-greet packages do not include a ticket to the concert. You must have a ticket to the show to attend the meet-and-greet. Fans will be contacted prior to the show date with meet-and-greet instructions. Laminates will be distributed the night of the show. The 8x10 poster will be personally signed by the band during the meet and greet session. The photo will be e-mailed two weeks after the show.

Pretty good package item wise. Shame that a ticket isn't included, especially for that price.

Maybe if they threw some of these meet-and-greet in random copies of their album it might go Gold...

It kinda sucks that their original meet and greet packages were cancelled.  Originally, including ticket price, one could have met Slash backstage and watched the concert from rows 1 to 5 for about $300.  I bought such a package, had front row, and then a week later, was notified that the deal was off.  My ticket was void, I lost my front row spot, and was very disappointed to say the least.

I think its ok in comparison with other band's meet-and-greets. Still too much but obviously people will pay it. There is obviously only room for a certain number from each gig out of the thousands that attend so a high price is understandable for this kinda stuff.

I got a meet N' greet package with Alice Cooper on the Dirty Diamonds tour. $500 for seats in the 1st 4 rows, t-shirt, Laminate, photo with Alice and a backstage tour. I had a bit of a flirt with Calico too. LOL. At the time I thought it was great but I have come to the conclusion that you shouldnt have to pay to meet someone.
Its much more real when your invited or just bump into them on the street or something like that.

yeah you can.

but my ticket was only 18 bucks, so paying 250 for a photo would be a rip off. I have the cash, but i don't think 250 bucks is worth meeting Slash and Duff for 30 seconds.

Chances are i'd piss them off by having them sign too much stuff. But for $250, i guess they'd have to expect it.

Personally, I think it's a big fucking monetary rip-off, led by Fanfire.

Didn't the Platinum VIP Package before include a meet and greet with Slash plus upfront seating?

Now if you want upfront seating and the meet and greet you must buy the VIP Package AND the Meet and Greet Package?

Sort of on the topic of meet-and-greets:
A good way to increase sales of Libertad would be for the band to do in-store appearances before shows. Have a deal where you need to buy the album to get them to sign it. The very fact that Slash and Duff would be there would attract a hell of a lot of people to each signing, and if each person has to buy a copy sales would soar!
