Bands are businesses that require fans time and money to fuel their lifestyles and pay the bills that afford them tours and time in the studio.

But GnR treat us fans like crap.

Hey Jarmo, don't know if you saw, but the very examples of what nimrod calls big releases "Radiohead and U2" actually have releases in 2007. So, though he thinks the Foos are small time, I think he may have a harder time arguing Micheal Jackson, U2 and Radiohead. To suppport this point (and your point) even more... the release dates have yet to be firmed outside of a solid 2007 release. Thus, how are these bands any different that GN'R at this point.

Hey dipshit, Radiohead's album has no known release date yet much alike U2's, let alone a title, so how you interpret either as being out this year is beyond me.

Work on Michael Jackson's new album has been very tedious, and so far the only date getting thrown around is November 19th, however, virtually everyone in his party has been saying since day one that it? very well may surface in '08..

If people consider the word of so called"GN'R insiders" to have any value, be it the garbage man or a radio host etc... -
surely if Jarmo says that there is nothing to suggest that the record wont be coming out this year , then people should take that on board before despairing.

I could see the point in despairing if, a year from today, nothing else had happened since the japan shows, but not now.
Didnt they just finish a tour the other week?

People seemed to have more hope and belief through the long years of silence and inactivity, than they do now after such an eventful year and a half.

I have my doubts and suspicions, who wouldnt after so long? But looking at the recent history it seems pretty obvious that something is on the horizon, so mabye people should have a little more patience. One thing GN'R fans should be good at... is waiting.

You mentioned how I was incorrect in saying that as far as I know, the end of this year was going to be quiet as far as "epic" releases were concerned.

You just skipped the part about how every year there's a bunch of albums released in time for Christmas.

It's one of the seasons for record releases.

It's logical to release albums that are ready for release then.

But you just want to enjoy the sun and wait until everybody else's albums are ready....?
