Haven't played yet?   What about all those shows last fall in Canada?

Ali

I realized that almost immediately after posting it, but I was thinking more in terms of what the White Stripes just did, playing every province and territory in Canada, even the most remote locations

I got another confirmation from others in the 'Know'.....it is held for the 6th of Sept. ironically the day before VR plays in the same venue. The venue is not too confident due to there reputation. But GNR have been better at showing up.....but nothing is confirmed or public but it probably means something is in the works.....or something was in the works. The fact that the venue is being held is not a rumour whether it turns into an actual show and tour that is a different story.

Sept. 6th seems a bit close

I agree that it seems very close....it may not be feasible. It does seem to soon for anything to happen. I really don't even know when they booked it whether it was weeks, days or monthsago. It came up in conversation when I was talking to my source aboiut VR coming through. As soon as I get a confirmation that it will be announced or that the plug is pulled you will be the first to know.

^  sounds cool

it has to be good news if they are touring because mysterion's statement was clear that they would plan the release of the record prior to going back on the road (so we all can hope for the best) ok peace

I think Detroit should be added to that list because of the "Walkout" in 02.

So the show in Auburn Hills, MI last year doesn't count?

/jarmo

As a makeup for the unexplained walkout I witnessed 4 years before that?

No.

The Auburn Hills, MI (Detroit) 2006 show was a good one, but a true GN'R fan left the 2002 show with an empty feeling.  Just what I saw and I felt.  Don't get me wrong, I still love the band, but it just hurt!  I also sat next to russtcb at the 2006 show and he seems like a cool guy!

Thanks,

Those have been up there awhile haven't they?  Wasn't that the date they were supposed to play there last year?  Thought I'd seen that before.
