i dont get the point in this, very different bands.

inxs were great, they had a great singer frontman and were pretty different.

and we all know how i feel about guns or else i wouldnt even be here. You cant compare these bands, musically.

It is an interesting question to ask though - it will give you an idea of the Australian scene at the time. INXS were GODS in Australia at the time and Guns N' Roses were held respectfully in second place. I think on the aussie charts an INXS song managed to bump off the huge Gunner No1 at the time......interesting tustle between two shit hot front men.

INXS were never anything special in my opinion. And that was formed before the whole "rock star" thing. I do think it's funny that when people talk about Hutchence on TV they say his death was a suicide, like he was depressed, when he really died whackin it.

INXS have certainly died a death though, they did that rock star thing, released a music video, did a tour, and dissapeared.

No seriously, Michael Hutchence was responsible for not letting a GN'R song reach No 1 in Australia. Much to Axl's chargrin! All in good fun rivallry! and all credit where credits due. Michael was an awesome frontman.

I think you might find that Michael singlehandedly lived that rock N' roll lifestyle........

But yeh, the difference bewteen the two was that INXS were a tight band in the sense that the brothers would have grown up playing music together............
