I think i am the only to mention this but in the melb australia show the what i call bubbly noise in the break during Better was different..it sounded like a motorbike driving past..Much BETTER i think...
Harley Davidson ?

That guitar effect during Pitman's noise is awesome, haha. I really like it - and it's probably a change by Ron Thal.

Isn't the "new" effect in Chinese Democracy the xylophone that's on the demo?
I love I.R.S. - the extended solo by Bumblefoot is great.
Better sounds pretty much the same, with a different vocal setup in the intro.
The Blues has more noticable acoustic guitars - with Richards solo at the end.
Madagascar got more crunch, and definitely more backing-vocals.

Just compared to 2002, the original 3 (The Blues, CD, and Maddy) have evolved so much that its insane. IMO, in 2001/02 CD was always the weakest song (albeit still amazing) but since the changes and additions its def not a weak song anymore....still not on the level of Blues/Maddy but its alot closer now.

I loved IRS and better the best. I thought they were kickass songs but these were phenomenal at the shows. IRS had some groovy bass beats live that add ultramodern touches to the song.

The live version of Better has a much better and heavier-sounding chorus than the studio demo, plus indeed there is a new guitar "slide-bomb" effect during the short Pitman FX which sounds very cool. If they have captured this in the final version I'll be very pleased. Bumble has made very welcome contributions in my opinion

First.. I just got IRS from osaka 21 july.. and i heard some piano thingie in there.. wich is fucking great since i love piano in hard rock songs (now they should just add some harmonica.. seriously!)
second.. this aint really new for 2007 but it's different from the studio leak.. in the leak of CD axl sings "as if your ass were your head you could tell" but on the osaka bootleg and from 20 december 06 you can clearly hear that he sings "while their arms reach out for your help" (on the 20 dec 06 DVD he reaches his arm out to the crowd while he sings it)

^ I dunno, but I noticed there's now a backing vocal at the end of the song. Maybe Ron?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind...
Also in Madagascar, the background vocals at the end are higher up in the mix nowadays.

Just had a rather funny thought:
It would be brilliant if the
key
signatures to all the released material was changed. That would really piss off the people who think they have all the music down pat/written note for note..........
Simply by changing the key signature the whole sound, mood and feel of the song will change.
Hide the key in the music
- make it harder to detect. Accidentals...........
Hell, I put Watermelon Man into a minor key and changed the rhythm and it end up sounding like a Yugoslavian funeral march.
