GNR For Fucking Ever

« Reply #200 on: April 05, 2007, 03:23:20 PM »

I wouldn't release it in May if I were them, thats when the new linkin park cd comes out and expect that to be #1 for a few weeks at the least.  GNR should still top them but they are probably the biggest selling band out.

Do you honestly think that Guns N' Roses, the band that performed in the biggest football stadiums in the world, the band that has Appetite For Destruction and the Illusion combo in its discography, the band that still tours the world after 15 years of no album, can be afraid of... ''Linkin Park''?

They should not give a flying fuck about Linkin Park album... nervous

I tend to ignore the mainstream and do my fishin' in the stands-the-test-of-time stream, where Linkin Park will be no more than a tiny fish turd, floating by unnoticed.

well mainstream artists need to be taken into consideration for those who seem to think that CD needs to be #1 in sales out of the gates

you serious think that linkin park will be at number for more than 1 week? I'm sorry to say this but in the united states right now "rock" music is very low on the pole. Hip hop-Pop-and country music sell. Linkin park may debut at number or 2 and then the week after they will be 22.

Tool's last album sold something like 550,000 copies in it's first week, and was essentially #1 in every country.

To me, if Chinese Democracy can get numbers like that right out of the gates, then it will most definately be dubbed a success by the general public.

Dude are you smoking crack? CD will sell way more copies its first week. May I remind you that the greatest hit album that had absolutely no promotion has sold like 4 million copies and debuted at like number 3 in 2004......Dude CD will definitely debut at number one and might sell like 7-8 hundred thousand copies its first week.....

may i remind YOU, that the greatest hits was full of songs very casual fans know and love, which is why it sold so well.

an album full of new material is a different ball game.
