Preordering means nothing to me because you almost NEVER get it before the release date.  The only reason i'd do it if there was some exclusive bonus that I wanted with the preorder.

Speak. Seriously, why the fuck would anyone preorder this bitch? Maybe its just me but, I want the album as soon as humanly possible. My ass will be at Best Buy as soon as they open and will download it off itunes as soon as that shit hits.

Yes, they can.  All you're doing is reserving a copy of the CD.  If the CD never comes out, then you just get your money back.  It's like buying a ticket to a movie or a concert.

It's really only worth pre-ordering something if you get something free with it like a bonus DVD or CD.  Itunes will sometimes give you exclusive tracks or videos with a pre-order.    Although, pre-ordering from itunes is never too bad since you can download it the second it turns midnight on the east coast.

I'm with that, all the way.? Pre-orders have only paid off one time for me, when I hopped on the Megadeth System Has Failed preorder.? Got my CD/T-Shirt the day before it got to stores.? Other than that they've all been a waste.

And this is GN'R we're talking about.? Does anyone REALLY trust the chances of getting Chinese Democracy on a said date?? If there was ever one pre-order I would avoid, this would be it, hands down.

Yep. For some reason, people convinced themselves long ago they get it quicker by pre-ordering it. Even if you get it a day after the release, you still can get it quicker by going to your actual record store and buying it on the day of release.

Usually the pre-order only 'ships' before the release. But you usually don't have it in your hands 'til past the release day.
