"Heroin Diaries"

Tommy Lee and Slash wrote entries in Sixx's new book, which is released in September.
Wednesday, July 18, 2007

Rocker Nikki Sixx enlisted the writings of friends, including his Motley Crue bandmate Tommy Lee and former Guns N' Roses star Slash for his new biography - to make sure the book had an unbiased perspective of what he was like as a drug addict.

Sixx's "Heroin Diaries," due out in September, details his addictions to heroin and other drugs during the height of Motley Crue's fame in the late 1980s.

The book contains excepts from the 48-year-old's 1987 diaries as well as entries from Lee, Slash and Prince's former prot?g? Vanity, who all partied with Sixx during this time.

Sixx says, "I felt the book wasn't complete without other people's perspectives and opinions on what I was like as an addict. They would tell me if I was full of s**t."

25% of the proceeds from "Heroin Diaries" and it's soundtrack album, recorded by Sixx's new band Sixx:AM, will be donated to Covenant House California - a charity which aims to save homeless children from the streets

I will preorder this and the soundtrack.

I always thought Nikki was very very underrated as a songwriter.

Nikki's parts in The Dirt were by far the most interesting. Can't wait for the Heroin Diaries.

D- I agree with you, Nikki is a great song writter in my oppinion.
I like 'Life Is Beautiful' so I'm looking forward to the soundtrack.

... yes Nikki we know you died for like 2 minutes and had an out of body experience ...

I agree. It is a bit repetitious. A lot of people go out on smack; some are fortunate enough to make it back. You know, another thing about that story; they don't stick needles of adrinalin in your heart when you go out; they push Naloxone I.V.
