Guns N' Roses music really speaks to all parts one's life and feelings and UYI is definitly an essential component of this, regardless of what anybody else (including Axl) thinks about the record.

The only difference with this and CD is that I hope we have yet to hear the best. Knowing Axl's attitude about bootlegs (there were so many for UYI I II), particularly with the long wait for CD, I think its safe to say the best is yet to come and we don't know what it is yet.

The article does parallel with what fans are waiting for now.  Hopefully soon they'll be 30 songs released too, and hopefully I'll have CD 1 and 2, like I have UYI 1 and 2.  Those 2 have been in the cd player non-stop for 6 months now.

im young and was actually born two weeks before the illusion albums were released. i first heard about the record at school in 8th grade, when my buddy, whom each of us were discovering rock n' roll at the time said. "dude, you ever hear that song civil war by guns n' roses?" i said that i only knew the hits then he told me to either buy the album or download it. so i downloaded civil war, and it just blew me the fuck away. i loved everything about the song and then decided to buy the entire illusions album on itunes. greatest work of art in the history of music imo. my friend hates gnr now though, so we get into constant arguements rofl rofl rofl

Just curious, did you not want to have the artwork / lyrics and CD that comes with buying it at a store?

GnR albums are the only physical CDs I've ever bought. That's dedication. ok
