I just don't believe what you say is true about Axl being the reason for Appetite not being re-issued or what have you.  Slash himself stated that he's sure Axl would've wanted something to happen for the 20th anniversary but the record company screwed it up.  I accuse you of spreading lies and rumors because you have NO FACTS to back it up.  You're stating an opinion, you're entitled to that but don't speak as if you know the whole truth, because I'm quite certain you don't.

actually, the record company wanted to do something special for the A4D-aniversary. they thought about a special-release or the release of CD. at first CD was on track, but axl didn't get his shit together again, and then it was too late for an A4D-special edition/rerelease thing.

No problem.  Wasn't Axl NOT in favor of releasing the Greatest Hits album either?  But the record company did anyway.  So why would the record company NOT re-release Appetite if Axl said he didn't want it to happen, THIS time around?  Excuse me if I'm incorrect here, I may not have the facts straight.  But that's what I thought at least.

I'm choosing to believe Slash on this one that the RECORD COMPANY screwed it up.  If he truly felt Axl was at fault I don't think he would've brought his name up at all.

AFD needs to be remastered but if you think about it, re-releasing it now would be a disaster from a moving foward perspective.  The press would be all over Axl and bashing him for not releasing CD.  So hopefully CD is released this year and we get a remastered AFD by the 25th anniversary!  5 years will fly by in GN'R time.

You're losing more and more credibility (if you ever had any to begin with) when you throw such a statement out there and give NO EVIDENCE to back it up.  Especially since you seem to have no support on this issue whatsoever.  You say that you thought this was common knowledge.  Apparently not, nobody on this board believes you, and why should they?

No, I'm sure Slash isn't the best source for information about Axl.  I never said he was.  I made it clear that Slash THOUGHT Axl wanted something to happen for the 20th anniversary.  I didn't say he had 100% confirmation of that.  He does seem to be quite certain that it was the record company's fault that nothing happened though, he makes that pretty clear.

Its Ironic when one of us swears on here , who isn't a "moderator" , an we Get bad Karma quicker then you can say "htgth"
but when A moderator goes off their "nut" and swears and carrys on,
it just escalates the situation even further,
causing more anger/bitterness/tension on this board...

Im a regular poster on this board and Chinesedemocracy.com, but considering how the mod/s on this board are,

At the end of the day people will choose to believe what they want to believe, and having a source will improve a persons
chance at beleiving the material, but If someone surely believes what they are saying has a source and he/she cant find it,
then They are verbally attacked for no reason......

I'm 29 and I've been here since 2002. I know very well how to control myself.

However...

This website, is not just any website. The forum has more than 8.000 registered active members, Jarmo deletes the non-active ones (ones who haven't visited for a long time), and the main site has almost 20 Million visitors. Which means that lots of people read this site (and forum, as unregistered visitors) and re-post news or rumors on other sites.

So, if some poster posts that Axl fucked it up and didn't help the record company in celebrating the 20th anniversary for AFD, and visitors copy-paste this on other sites, we'll have many sites reporting the same shit, WITHOUT A FUCKIN SOURCE... Another rumor...

It's always been like that with GN'R... Rumors, rumors, rumors. What's even worse is that people who have no idea about this band, believe these shitty rumors, and guess what...

Axl will always be the bad guy, even though noone has real proof of whatever they're accusing him for.

Well, in case you haven't noticed, that's what we're trying to avoid here. Rumors without a source (sometimes even with a source...) that are basically lies about the band we love.

If you don't like it, I'm sorry. But here's the good news.

You have a choice.
