Jon Bon Jovi:

Her feet are making tracks in teh winter snow,?
She got a rainbow that touches her shoulder,?
She be headed where the thunder rollsJon Bon Jovi-

She made her mountains sing.?

I think I heard an angel sigh. It's pretty obvious that you have a set mental image in your head of Bon Jovi only based on a few songs chosen as singles. No matter what youtube links I'd offer - I have a feeling you wouldn't even care to look. How the hell do you choose to compare the lyrics of 'In A Simple Rhyme' to the lyrics of 'You Give Love A Bad Name'? 'You Give Love A Bad Name's' lyrics are obviously tongue-in-cheek and not meant to be sentimental or deep. If you want to belittle Bon Jovi's lyrics why don't you actually do your research and look within the album tracks. Oh of course, not, you know the hits so you must know all Bon Jovi songs, right?
What a fucking fallacy.
It doesn't take much research to find great Bon Jovi lyrics:
Dry CountyAcross the border they turn
Water into wine
Some say it's the devil's blood
They're squeezing from the vine
Some say it's a savior
In these hard and desperate times
For me it helps me to forget
That we're just born to die
I came here like so many did
To find the better life
To find my piece of easy street
To finally be alive
And I know nothing good comes easy
And all good things take some time
I made my bed I'll lie in it
To die in it's the crime
You can't help but prosper
Where the streets are paved with gold
They say the oil wells ran deeper here
than anybody's known
I packed up on my wife and kid
And left them back at home
Now there's nothing in this pay dirt
The ghosts are all I know
Now the oil's gone
The money's gone
And the jobs are gone
Still we're hangin' on
Down in dry county
They're swimming in the sand
Praying for some holy water
To wash the sins from off our hand
Here in dry county
The promise has run dry
Where nobody cries
And no one's getting out of here alive
In the blessed name of Jesus
I heard a preacher say
That we are God's children
And He'd be back someday
And I hoped that he knew
Something as he drank his cup of wine
I didn't have too good of a feeling
As I head out to the night
I cursed the sky to open
I begged the clouds for rain
I prayed to God for water
For this burning in my veins
It was like my soul's on fire
And I had to watch the flames
All my dreams went up in ashes
And my future blew away
Now the oil's gone
And the money's gone
And the jobs are gone
Still we're hangin' on
Down in dry county
They're swimming in the sand
Praying for some holy water
To wash the sins from off our hand
Here in dry county
The promise has run dry
Where nobody cries
And no one's getting out of here alive
Men spend their whole lives
Waiting praying for their big reward
But it seems sometimes
The payoff leaves you feeling
Like a dirty whore
If I could choose the way I'll die
Make it by the gun or knife
'Cause the other way there's too much pain
Night after night after night
Down in dry county
They're swimming in the sand
Praying for some holy water
To wash the sins from off our hand
Here in dry county
The promise has run dry
Where nobody cries
And no one's getting out of here alive
Santa FeThey say that no man is an island
And good things come to those who wait
But the things I hear are there
Just to remind me
Every dog will have his day
The spirits they intoxicate me
I watched them infiltrate my soul
They try to say it's too late for me
Tell my guns I'm coming home
I swear I'm gonna live forever
Tell my maker he can wait
I'm riding somewhere south of heaven
Heading back to Santa Fe
It's judgement day in Santa Fe
Once I was promised absolution
There's only one solution for my sins
You gotta face your ghosts and know
With no illusions
That only one of you is going home again
And I blame this world for making
A good man evil
It's this world that can drive a
Good man mad
And it's this world that turns a killer
Into a hero
Well I blame this world for making
A good man bad
Now I ain't getting into heaven
If the devil has his way
I swear I'm gonna live forever
Heading back to Santa Fe
Got debts to pay in Santa Fe
It's judgement day in Santa Fe
So I save a prayer
For when I need it most
To the Father, Son
And the Holy Ghost
And sign it from a sinner
With no name
When I meet my maker
When I close the book
On the hearts I broke
And the lives I took
Will he walk away
'Cause my soul's
Too late to save
Now I ain't getting into heaven
If the devil has his way
I swear I'm gonna live forever
Heading back to Santa Fe
Got debts to pay in Santa Fe
It's judgement day in Santa Fe
Also D, in trying to defend Bon Jovi I actually think you made them look worse...Seriously, 'Welcome to Wherever You Are'?
So deep...
