Obama says knock you out

This upcoming tour with AiC. I've been very busy and just now noticed they had a couple dates by me here. I guess they went on sale a bit ago, but these venues don't sell too quick and I was thinking "No problem, I'll just hop on and get my pit tickets and...wait a minute." Both venues near me (Upstate New York) are seating. Others that I've checked are seating. Aren't VR doing any gen admission for this tour? I can't very well spend money on seats this late into the game, with them having already gone on sale. I'll be out by the fuckin lawn. Did I miss something here? This sucks especially since I haven't gotten to see VR live yet...and I fucking hate going to a concert to sit in a seat (or sorry...stand next to a seat).

OK so I bought a fan club package, even though the presales already passed. I thought it would still help me out, but I guess it didn't. Oh well, it's cool to be in the VR fan club I guess. I got a cool tour shirt and poster and a bunch of other goodies out of it. Anyway, there were no pit tickets listed for my show, but when I went to buy a Gold VIP pass it tried to give me a ticket from "Section 40" with no seat listed. So I called up the promoter who transfered me to the venue who transfered to Ticketmaster...all of whom knew next to nothing. Long story short, Section 40 is a pit in the orchestra section in front of the page. The Ticketmaster guy couldn't sell me one because he said they were all blocked off from him, but that he had no access to the VIP thing. So I went back on Ticketmaster and ordered the $150 Gold VIP hopefully pit tickets. There was a Platinum VIP pass, but for $225 I dunno why you'd go for it, the meet-and-greets were cancelled, and unless you really wanted seats in the first five rows (as opposed to the first 15 for Gold VIPs) and really wanted to spend extra to avoid the pit...I just don't get the Platinum passes. There was also a Gold VIP pass that required a password, of which I didn't have and really no one had an answer on that for me. I assume it's some presale leftover on the page. So to recap, $45 fan club membership and $150 concert ticket with assorted shipping and charged here and there make this by far the most expensive concert (minus travel costs and just looking at ticket prices) I've ever gone to. Hope it's worth it, I've never seen VR live.
