For the person who asked about the origin of Axl's "Victory or Death" tattoo, it is the motto of the 32nd Armored Regiment of the US Army and it's also their official emblem (Elvis wore the emblem when he was in the army):

I would only get a Guns tattoo, if you have been a fan from the very begging. If you have just started liking the band the last couple of years, then I would wait awhile since your music style has a chance of changing. Remember a tat is going to last a very long time. How are you going to feel having roses tattoo'd on you when your 70.

I have 5 tats, and there are times, when I think man I should of never got them but there are other times when I want to get more.

I would love to get Axl's Rocket Queen tattoo, or the red moster from the Appetite CD, maybe even a set of Chineses starts on your shoulders.

Just think long and hard before you make a rash decision of getting a tattoo.

The "Victory or Death" tattoo was the result of an experience Rose had cliff repelling. He cited jumping off a cliff while tied to a rope as one of the "biggest rushes" he'd ever had. The friend who introduced him to the sport gave him a pin, which became the inspiration for the tattoo.
