I thought it was pushed back to make DVD, and to coincide with July 4th, America's day of Liberty.  Maybe I am muy es retardo.

I think the number are a little off this week because of the holiday it seems like there has been a late push for this album I still predict cose to 200,000 july 4th is always a slow starting week just look at itunes vr has moved up the chart in the last couple of days

its also beating out hannah montana which sold 322,000 in the first week and will def move about half that in the second week thats the way it usually goes so based on that Libertad is in place for about 200,000

200,000 at this point is no more than wishful thinking.  VR might have a late surge but hitsdailydouble is a reputable charting company that is very accurate with their projections based on one day sales.

What's your source that it's outselling that children's album anyway?

iTunes.  That's a whole different ballgame than sales of hard copies which is what the hitsdailydouble projection discusses.  If VR outsells that album on iTunes next week that still wouldn't mean it will sell 200,000 albums

The "Hannah Montana" album whatever that album is, opened at #3 on the digital charts, not #1, and the 322,000 albums sold wasn't referring to iTunes or other legal digital sources

I know digital sales are different but they count in the long run and if vr is outselling digitally it is also out selling physical copies.  Yes I know that hitsdailydouble is reputable but they are not always right I have seen them screw up before.

It's impossible to argue with you because you are so hung up on retarded "talking points" about how the band was marketed when they first came out. I really can't believe you still whine about this. It's called marketing. When these guys were in Guns N' Roses they were marketed the same way. They were still slaves to a major label, all over MTV and radio and everywhere else whoring themselves out while trying to present a bad ass image.

It's part of corporate rock. Please stop acting like VR is the only band in the history of the world who has been marketed this way. You really need to get out more if something this small bothers you so much.

Yet another GN'R mention because somebody disagrees with VR.  hihi

If you can't see the difference between GN'R being marketed as "bad boys" and VR, then there's an issue right there.

The reason why it was sort of ok was because it was actually believable.

They released two albums on the same day, they released songs that were about ten minutes as singles.

They did things nobody else was doing at the time.

Sorry for discussing GN'R in this section VR fans, but yet again somebody else brought them up.

Not in this day and age dude. CD sales are down 15% this year alone. If you're outselling digitally, that don't mean shit about how you're selling when it come to the physical product. I'd be surprised if this album even goes platinum this year.

I mentioned GNR because, as I'm sure you know, that's the band they were formerly in. It doesn't matter what band you want to name. If you're signed to a major label, you do what the label tells you. VR does. GNR did (OMGZ I MENTIONED GNR AGAIN!! AHHHHHHH).

The idea that you're so upset over how the band was marketed is just hilarious. Labels market bands the way they want to market them. If you're looking for some bad ass, break all the rules musician who doesn't care what anyone says, then you should get into GG Allin. Nobody else comes close.
