It seems Bumblefoot played ''God Defend New Zealand'' with his Flying V.

Anyway, that review was a little bit negative in my opinion... thanks for posting

well that review was just retarded  Roll Eyes sounds nothing like the show I saw over here  no

oh and the son of someone I know, kind of, went to the 29th of June show in Auckland and he said the following:

Fraser went to the concert on Friday 29.

He had a great time and came home all enthusiastic about the music. He reckoned that  the band sounded as good as it always had in his opinion.

Axl and the band did not attend the after-party, but Fraser said everyone had a good time.

Virtually everyone he has spoken to have all raved about the concert,  people who are not paid to write the reviews and who are the grass-roots fans over here. Everyone is hoping that Guns N Roses will come back for another concert at some stage in the future.

The retardation of this review is evident by the plain fact that there are no screeches during "Mr. Brownstone".  He uses his lower register almost exclusively during that song.

Apologies for not sending updates, but I wasn't even there. I have, like, a life & a job that I needed to get back to. I had to stop destroying money at some point, and so after the 2nd Auckland show it was.

You know, the money comes from working. As in "job". That means I actually have to spend some time *doing* something for them, otherwise I don't get the money.

Quick review from the show

Opening band Rose Tattoo got a good reception, played "Nice Boys" with Sebastian Bach.

Sebastian on next with great crowd interaction, thought Christchurch sounded like the place Dracula would live.

Gunners came on 11.45pm, usual setlist.  New songs played Better, Irs, The Blues and Madagascar.  Dizzy played Angie on piano, Ron NZ national anthem/Don't Cry.  Seb and Axl together for My Michelle, Seb mentioned how he's sorry this is the last night they are touring with guns.

Show ended with encore of Madagascar, Paradise City.  0210am local time.  Fight in crowd for Axl's mike!

Great night.

the reviewer obviosly has no prior involvement with GnR in terms of music.

no screeches in brownstone or LILD-------------there are not and never have been screeches in brownstone or LILD( this does have a low register scream/howl-which he executed prefectly at the concerts i was at)

i wasn't sure if he whistled the start of patience-----------what the hell did he think was happening on the record? did slash have a weird whistle effect on the acoustic? was it a really high register fart duff pushed out to achieve a high C note. this guy is obviously an idiot.

trademark solo on NR---------------again in concerts i have seen the guitarists stick almost exclusively to what was on the record, with the exception of Ron, who loosely sticks to what was always an improv section by slash.

i just dont get it. im sure everyone in NZ had a great time, without having to be reassured by some hack.

chhers

What does it mean with no "screeches" in LALD ?   Axl didn`t scream after " say live and let die.."??

Ohhhh, noooooo, no Bach in Japan shows! He should really feel sorry about it.? Cry

Instead we just have a local "visaual-kei" band as the opening act. TOO bad.....

Thanks for your information, though.......
