Joacim Persson of Sweden's biggest newspaper Aftonbladet recently did a short interview with former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan ahead of Velvet Revolver's gig at The Hultsfred Festival on June 14th.

This is what Duff commented...

...on Axl Rose touring as Guns N' Roses:
? I really wish that he had used a different name. But things are as they are. Unfortunately neither Slash or I have any contact with him, that's a bit sad.

...on Axl biting a security guard in Stockholm last summer:
? Yes, I heard about that. I'll definitely bite somone during the stay in Sweden too, haha.

I am gonna guess right off the bat this was taken out of context (The part about using a different name). This seems like the type of comment that a week from now Duff will say they misquoted him.

with all due respect to Duff (I do love the king of beers)

It was his choice to leave the band and he knew full well Axl had legal control of the name....

"I really wish that he had used a different name".  I can not understand Duff?s comment. Besides I like Duff, I think this is a little hypocrite, because in 1992 he used the GNR names without Steven and Izzy. He don?t have any right to criticize Axl.
