I'm also hoping for Bruins to pull it off, as it would give the Pens a possible home ice advantage all the way through the eastern conference.

What's with Game 7 of the Philly/Washington series being played the NEXT night?

That's the way it should be, get these series over with already.  The NHL has the right idea.  The NBA is ridiculous with 2 days off in between games in the same city.  If anything the NHL should have that kind of layoff because it's a much more strenuous game.  But I like the back to back nights, there should be more of that.

Completely agree. I want to get the next round started. By the time it starts we'll have a few teams waiting around for days or even a week.

I can understand them having a few back-to-backs... but between Game 6 and 7?  Give them one day to regroup !

Yeah I hear you, they probably should have a day to regroup.  It's the NBA that pisses me off, no reason for the long layoffs there.

Well so much for the bruins pulling it off and the flyers didn't finish off the capitals so second round is still completely up in the air. If the caps win the rangers play montreal ugh.

Yeah, Boston fans all of a sudden remembered the Bruins again and got excited there for a couple days.  So much for that, attention shifts back to the Sox and the C's.  Not a bad showing though I guess for an 8 seed, although losing 5-0 in game 7 is a little unimpressive.

The Bruins just couldn't get anything going offensively, and their defense was absolutely atrocious.

Fuck that

I say bring on the Habs

Pittsburgh is a deadlier team , imo

Montreal letting Boston take them 7 is a sign

We'll deal with Pitt in a couple of weeks!

Thats true they haven't been great recently but i just think back to the season when we blew that 5 goal lead against them. I think the pens deadliness is a little misleading. They killed a team that limped into the playoffs riddled with injuries.

I am an NBA fanatic but I must admit, I turned off the NBA game and am watching Game 7 of washington/Philly

What a fantastic game.

Sergei Federov had the game winner but just whiffed on Ovechkin's pass after that amazing steal he pulled off.

I cant imagine getting to see Pittsburgh/Washington in the 2nd round.

I will watch every minute of every game if that series happens.

Pittsburgh v. New York Rangers in 6. I can't pick against my team. This should be a good hard fought series.

NOBODY'S picking the Flyers over the Canadians in an upset, eh?

Yeah, I know...Montreal is really that good...but I can't believe SOMEONE isn't gonna pick the Flyers just because they're a Philly team trying to win a championship.

I think an upset of Montreal is possible they did get taken to a game 7 but i still think they pull it out against the flyers. Now in the conference finals against the rangers or piitsburgh i think they could be in serious trouble.

And the league and refs continue to jerk off to sidney crosby and decide the game instead of the players. Sid dives and its interference. Doesn't the league know that everyone outside of pittsburgh hates this stupid kid and doesn't even want him in the playoffs?

I don't think a penalty was necessary, but I really don't think it was a dive either. It was an interference by this season's standards from what I saw ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVYctha2YQ0 ), but usually refs don't call those in the playoffs with that little time left on the clock.

That said, the Rangers did manage to fuck it up all on their own. You don't let a team come back from 3-0.
