Yeah, I think Ottawa will win atleast one of their games at home though.

WASHINGTON (AP) -Flyers left wing Patrick Thoresen was taken to the hospital for tests after getting hit in the groin by a shot during Philadelphia's 5-4 loss to Washington on Friday night.

"He's going to the hospital to get an ultrasound done on his testicles. It's bad enough they may have to remove one," Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said. "Right now, we're not sure how serious it is, but there's a chance he may need surgery."

Thoresen blocked Mike Green's shot with about 6 1/2 minutes left in the game, then dropped to the ice, writhing in pain. Moments later, Washington scored to tie the game 4-4.

"Obviously, I'd have liked to see a whistle," Flyers coach John Stevens said.

Thoresen was helped off the ice and taken to the locker room.

Colorado/Minnesota has been an amazing series. Both games in OT, now tied 1-1

Minnesota were up 2-1 last night, Colorado pulled the goalie, Minny got a horribly stupid penalty.

Colorado keep Theodore pulled, 6-4 advantage, Liles shoots from the blue line, Hejduk redirects it in with under 50 seconds!

Very exciting game

Colorado turns the puck over in their defensive zone, Minnesota shoots a crazy angled shot that somehow finds the net.

This is the series I am most interested in.

I am hoping Dany Heatley can get it going against Pittsburgh but they do look unstoppable.

god i'da thought the Habs would've put them Bruins away.
cue the cranberries music - they let them "linger" hopefully it doesn't backfire!

edit: all is good in OT - if the Habs had lost that i'd be a bit dissapointed!

Good series between the Rangers and Devils so far. The Devils are in big trouble though. The rangers have never lost after going up 2-0 and if thats gonna change the Devils have got to get more than one puck a game against Lundvist. He is outplaying Brodeur badly

I'm watching the Anaheim Dallas series right now. Wow is Anaheim sucking bad. Where is their defense? These guys couldn't stop a beach ball. Their defensemen just stand around watching the puck they don't even try to block shots and they can't stay out of the penalty box to save their lives.

I'd say thats been true so far after one period. We got the first goal so that bodes well. The team scoring first in the first 3 games has won the game.

4:43am here, and I can go to bed now with the Penguins safely through to the next round... The last one didn't come easy though, and who knows what might've happened if the kick went unnoticed and brought the Senators back to tie it 2-2...

That Staal family must be proud of their boys - this kid is starting to look like he could be another Brian Leetch type player

I hope so. I don't want a game 6 even though it would be at home. Yeah those Staal brothers are all very good. He is really starting to turn into a great defensemen. I thought it was just great that it was Gomez that put the final dagger in the devils heart to put the game away.

Definitely - Brilliant play by Gomez -  I was getting scared untill about 6-7 minutes left in the 3rd and it looked like the Blueshirts just went into a different level and the Devs could not keep up. Avery almost put that one in right before the Staal goal too.

Yeah i don't know how the hell Avery missed that one. He just couldn't seem to lift it up off the ice. I honestly thought it was in. Gomez and Drury coming up with big goals. We've seen this before, thankfully they are doing it for us now not against.

I know it. I remember this time last year, we were finishing off Atlanta and talking about upsetting Buffalo -  That Buffalo team was loaded too.  It sucks that they could'nt keep their players, but I'm glad Drury is here

Go Bruins

If they pull this off, then the re-seeding factor could give the Rangers home-ice in a matchup vs Philly ( if they move on)
