Philadelphia Flyers Use Paradise City as music to 1980's Tribute video

The Flyers - unarguably the most badass team ever to play hockey chose Paradise City by the biggest badass band of the 80's in their 80's tribute to the team, although no cup in this era.....Ron Hextall's 1st goal (first goalie ever to score a goal) and 2nd goal (1st goalie to do it in the playoffs) footage is on this - I still cannot believe those goals!!!!  Check out the blood on Bobby Clarke's jersey too!

This video was used as a pre-game pump-up for the crowd.

Just something I thought you would all like to see in the days of concert setlist updates and no real news on the album. And afterall it's a bit more visual than hearing "my friend was at this game and he heard welcome to the jungle played for 10 seconds....yadda yadda"

Amen.  Sucks to see a great song used as a tribute to a decade of failure (which of course is followed by another decade of failure followed by yet another decade of failure).  Although the idea of Philadelphia as anyone's idea of a "Paradise City" is good for a chuckle.

What's next a tribute to all those great Rangers teams from 1941-1993?

im an EAGLES fans and like the nba but our teams let us down.but i still stay a fan of both.not into hockey much ,last year sucked for the flyers.i watched at the end of the series.

yea yea, we all know philly hasn't won shit in a long time, if i was gonna let that deter me from being a fan i would've stopped watching a while ago. i will admit it is pretty frustrating tho when i think of all the hours of my life i've invested in these teams. philly has some of the most dedicated fans and when we finally win (...someday) there's gonna be one hell of a party.

So what if they have goons.  I love old time hockey.  Anyone who doesn't like old time hockey can follow table tennis or something.  Perhaps competitive checkers, or mabey a friendly game of Tic Tac Toe.

Old time hockey doesn't mean headhunt until the talent is gone. That's what Philly did. Kill players until the refs were too bored to call penalties in the 3rd period and just mug teams. Then somehow they turned into the biggest pussy franchise in hockey.   Surprising but the way it should be.
