robin finck is seriously more inventing and original than slash.

i don't care about the status he has, jimmy page is a legend too,
but he does nothing since more than 10 years except guests.

slash needs to reinvent himself to be as brilliant as he was in the 90s.

If thats the way you think then you shouuld love Scott Weiland Alot more than Axl

Nope, Axl is way better than Scott in any way, in fact I went to a GnR concert las June 3rd on Guadalajara.

But that's not the point, this guy is trying to say that Robin is more creative than Slash, and that is pretty hilarious to me IMO.

I think the combination of them being originally a "supergroup", having egos that come with being successful rockstars, and being in their 40s is a pretty volatile mix. ?It won't exactly surpise me when they break up, however it will definitely sadden me ?Sad

I still don't know any record made by robin fink, what the hell he's done. Let me tell you, nothing. He's a promisin' guitar player, i saw him at lisboa and i admit he plays really good, but he's only a promisin' guitar player. So please, stop on comparin' him with slash or page, you can prefer any of them but the truth is that fink has not written more than a few tracks of an album we still haven't heard, when he shows his abillity and what he's able to writte we'll be able to start an objective conversation

Green Dog, I don't think there is a bad song.  I even like Mary, Mary,  and For a Brother, songs others are down on.

Spay fucking rocks out.  Just 16 is so fresh, yet old school.

This album is one for the ages, it grows on me with each song.  I don't see the fillers everyone else is talking about?!?!?!?!

If this doesn't get Rock Album of the Year I will be shocked.  Not that awards validate one band's accomplishments, but this shit is just poppy enough to satisfy the masses and just hard enough to bring in all fans of Rock.  I love it, absolutely love it.

American Man is probably my least favorite of the group and I honestly don't think it's a bad song which speaks volumes about how great this album is. Mary Mary and Pills, Demons, etc. are actually two of my top songs off the album along with the mesmerizing Gravedancer and The Last Fight. I would ask for a bit more Slash but that would be much too greedy for this already great album.

I agree^^^^^^^? Velvet Revolver is a real band it seems now and hopefully will be around for many years.?

I expect their setlist to grow with the release of the new album.? They should be up to 20-22 songs of quality with no problem.

Actually American Man is really growing on me!  Scott's vocals are not bad at all!!

I'm not sure if we'll ever get a 20-22 song setlist from VR, I for one prefer the 16-18 song setlist that holds momentum throughout.

Give me and 1:20-1:30 at a fast pace and I'm good.

Falcon, I agree, but what songs to you kill?  I would hate to make that decision.

From CB, I would be happy with:

Slither
YGNR
STB
FTP
Set Me Free

From Libertad?  The whole damn album.

So we are at 18 (including bonus track)

Then you know they will do Mr. B, and Vasoline, and Wish You Were Here...

So there you go, 21 songs.  Now, more realistic, we would only get 10 tops from new album.

So back at 19 killer fucking songs!  And after only 2 albums?  Not bad!

I like For a Brother and SBQM.....

As for She Mine, not one of my favorites, but Duff actually thought it had single potential.  She Mine is better than say a "Big Machine"....

For a Brother Rocks to me, like the time changes.

If these are the three and only three songs that remind you of a filler, than that is a good sign!

Remember, take this album as a whole, not as a bunch of singles.

i don't think the band sees SBQM as a filler with it as the first single hihi + they recorded a lot of songs and picked the best.. so it has no fillers.. all songs are good in some way

I agree Cheap John, how do you release a filler as a single?

She Mine is a catchy ass song, with a great groove!

Just 16 really rocks, I can't get enough of it, my favorite VR song definitly.
Mary Mary really rocks, Matt is on fire in the whole album, Dave's baby Get out the door is fuckin' great, Scott's voice fits so perfectly, the chorus really catchy.
And what can I say about Gravedancer? Just Brilliant.

Man Libertad is way better than Contraband.

Very suprised with this record, I didnt have high expectations. Im glad they stayed away from the sound of Contraband, diversity is the key here. Slash is much better than in the past effort. Now im ready to go see VR play live!!  peace
