I know that some of the larger Sydney venues don't.

At every gig at Acer Arena that I've been to they've had metal detectors and strong security, so I'd say chances of sneaking cameras in at Sydney on the weekend are very slim. I think the only way to get past this is to have a camera phone which can record good video and audio, because I know they let your phones in.
I had a friend stick a camera in a hidden side pocket of my bag when we went to Pearl Jam. We got the bag in because it had medical supplies in it (insulin) and I needed it during the show. hihi

I'm so excited. Every night this week I have been living vicariously through all you folks. I wish I was there... I would be having such a rad time. I so should have gone to both Melbourne concerts.. what was I thinking..? yuk...regrets.
