Just because Axl is caught having a good time, you think this pertains to CD??? I hope your right, but I think its the alcohol hes consuming putting him into a good mood, he could care less about CD in my opinion.
If axl is at peace/happy with himself, theres a chance that hes in an all around good mood and feels confident about Chinese democracy.

I didnt go to Saturday. How did it differ?
I think may have added in RQ and ditched a new song cos I felt the reaction to the new stuff wasnt that crash hot on Friday.
Well the crowed was a lot more into it all on saturday night it seemed to me. Like doing mexiacan waves before the show and that kind of thing. Also there seemed to be a lot more drunk people. LOL. But i also felt Axl gave a stronger performance on that night too.
Be interested to see if others felt the same...
I heard the same actually. I think the crowd were a bit tame on the Friday night. Which was good for me cos I was front row and didnt get squashed
Maybe Axl was still suffering from the Adelaide after show partying a bit on Friday haha

I agree with you. What the hell was up with the Friday crowd? They were so mellow, I was like why are you here if you're not going to act like a ballistic nut like me? I was screaming, flailing my arms around like a freak, singing along, standing on my chair... the people around me were sitting with their arms crossed. Losers.

yeah its wierd how the vibe can change so much in one night.
But I also think the band and axl especially performed A LOT better on the saturday night...maybe because the crowd was into it more? or maybe the audience was digging it more cos it was a better show...its the chicken and the egg.
To me there was a real noticeable difference between the shows. Which i guess id normal with any performer.

Dang!
I'm jealous. I still had a great time on friday, it being my first time seeing them live and all. In hindsight I should have seen them both nights. Regret sucks. *Feels sorry for self*

I am amazed at how much people will read into what kind of mood he was in! We are getting desperate!

I think it's just fun to speculate, no harm there...
I wasn't at the gigs, but from what guns_n_motley said and from what I read, sounded to me like a special moment for Axl & the guys. That alone makes it one good thing to know.

not really speculating, but the axl now and the axl in 2002 is a VERY different axl. he seemed very insecure and angry in 2002.
even the mexico shows, alot of people on other boards were saying "oh this is the end, axl is back to being depressed"
the fact that hes out there playing and having fun and happy is a good thing

mabye because Australians are actually appreciative of gnr , no matter how late they start,
and that they dont caus riots, and dont light their tshirts on fire, because of Gnr not starting when They want them to...
C'mon, I was in the Guadalajara gig, they were like 3hours late, tooo much time if you ask me, thats why the people started to lose their mind.
Anyway, the band was great in the show, especially Ron, I didn't notice any problem between they, they all were in great mood.

I think Axl may have finally turned a corner. Or started to turn a corner anyways.
He hasn't played any real shows this year before Mexico. I'll bet he was nervous. I'm sure 2007 hasn't been the easiest year for Axl so far. But by overcoming his anxieties and nerves and getting out there in Mexcio, maybe Axl finally proved something to himself.
It seems like Axl might be in a better place after these shows than he was at the beginning of the year. Let's hope things keep going this way!
And let's hope Axl keeps hanging out with the band -- especially Ron, Frank and Pitman. Those guys could make anyone feel better about the world. They're smart guys who seem really happy with where they are. And I get the feeling that they genuinely care about Axl and his well-being. Just like the fans do!
Woo-hoo! Get 'em Axl! Here's your chance to prove all the critics wrong. Just keep kickin' ass and takin' names!

He's said that in 2002 he was pretty much forced into that tour and it never really felt right. So it would make sense that he's happier if everything that's going on is on his own terms. I'm as happy as everyone else to see that he seems to be enjoying what he does again, but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!
