That is a sweet picture! Imagine Axl with long hair. Looks the most like "classic" Axl I've seen in a while.

It's been
over a decade
since Guns N' Roses last went on a full-blown North American tour, but it didn't take very long at all for fans and critics to embrace them once again.
Yeah, over a decade. The 2002 tour certainly didn't prove out to be 'full-blown', but I'm not blaming them. It's certainly nothing to write home about in this context.

Awesome pic!
Ron must be heavily into Jimmy Buffett? ?
That's what they needed the extra time for; they've cloned Axl!?

sorry to be pain in the ass, but I don't think it is cool to post pics from George Chin on this board... judging from the past. Link to the site or something.
just my thoughts.

[Notice that they don't mention Brain at all, call Frank the drummer (not replacement or anything like that), and say it went off without a hitch, which I think implies that brain is no longer in the band. ?This is from the official GNR website so you'd imagine it isn't a mistake.
Uhm, what this guy said?!?? I think everyone on this board is too busy "fighting" with each other, they don't read the only real, big news in this article.
IT SEEMS THAT BRAIN'S GONE AND FRANK'S IN GUYS!!!!!
Should they re-record the drumtracks now??

I think they have put the wrong photo up, its showing somebody else in the band who isnt axl. Its almost like its guns n roses site and not the axl rose site.

Don't read so much into everything. They wouldn't imply it, they would have said it, straight out.

Well, believe it or not, in Nesquick's defense, they do seem to be billing this as Axl and his latest all star collection of musicians. Hell, the website spells it out. Now, it doesn't bother me at all as long as the band is good. Also, it sets the tone for Gnr of the future where it can be any combo of people-some original, some not, all original-whatever. Flexibility. At this point, after everybody coming and going, he has to bill it that way to gain some form of credibility with the press and fans. Call a spade a spade so to say. Good move on management's part.
Maybe it's just because axl hasn't checked it out, but
it would bother me if they said otherwise although I like Franc.
It's not the full GNR lineup (ie brain not on the drums.)
I'm adherent to the new band. Never a fan of one-man band or solo act.
It'd seriously piss me off if this was after the CD release.

at least it's cool to see Ron on the official website. It's cool to see another guy than just A.X.L here.
It might be the first time in 10 years a new guy is promoted in an "official" way, wich is encouraging.
Once again, this is not in the interest of anybody to promote this new band as "Axl and his servants". Musicians are not socks you buy with contracts and money and all that shit and throw out whenever you want. A band is not a job center either.
Axl took the name "Guns N' Roses", right, in exchange he has responsabilities. The first responsability is to make this thing a band.
promote the new guys. They deserve it. Be a band. After a decade, it's the strict minimum to ask.

maybe they've done it already. maybe they needed more time for that and that'S the 'real' reason why they postponed the dates before the 24th. OMG, another conspiracy theory!!!

Nope. In that case, they'd rewrite "meet the new Guns N' Roses" page already.
nesquick, I totally agree with you on your last post. that agrees with what the band members including axl have said as well.
Anyhoo, wait till cd comes out.
