I hope there is something in that message about hiring Jarmo as part of GUNSNROSES.COM This has been a wacky ride and now it looks like we are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I hope at one of the recent shows, that an actual band photo was taken. Do you guys think we will see an actual band shot on the site or just mainly pics of Axl?

Well to me a band has actual pictures together. Show me a major band website that doesn't have group pictures. I know the pictures are not the biggest deal in the world, but they need some type of new shot up there. The site up now is just a step above Gnronline.com.

Far be it from me to tell the guys in GN'r's camp what to do, but i think they guys ?in the band have to be treated equally, by that I mean, we all know who they are, but joe public probably hasn't a scoobie who ?Tommy or Robin is, depsite excellent musocal background and having been in GN'R for years

I took my missus to se Gn'R in glasgow this summer and she asked who they were and when I told her Robin used to be in NIN she was far more excited than she was for anyone else - including Axl, women eh ? -.


What i'm trying to get is, time to let the world know what we, the fans, have known for years, this is A band, ?in fact, this is THE band. Not just some hired hands acting as Axl's backing band. ?A proper, functioning, hard working tight as fuck kick ass rock band.

the label or whoever is running the official site should make an official myspace page that would be the best place to listen to a single if one is going to be out in a month or so.

i remember in '02 people thought the website then would have studio versions of the blues, madagascar, chinese democracy and all this other stuff and then it just sucked... it was just tour dates... and everybody got mad. mad and bored. the tour was a failure and the album never came out and so on. maybe i'm allowing my endless defense mechanism-optimism to subside now that things are happening again (and i can't see any shows so i'm bitter) but i don't expect anything of interest to happen on this new site. anything.

Another thing, they have teamed with MLB media to handle the website.  It should be pretty good this time.

Folks, you're getting this mixed up. I think someone said in the other thread that this press release is going to be RELEASED to the press TOMORROW, the 29th. That means that website will go up on the 30th. The press release we've all been lucky enough to read has only been sent to GNR forum administrators. It's an early heads-up for all of the hardcore fans like us. The general public will receive the PR tomorrow and we'll all get the website on the 30th. Just my 2 cents, but y'all got this mixed up.

Yep, from what I could tell, the press release never uses the phrase "September 29th." It only uses the word "tomorrow" when talking about the website. That means that tomorrow from the actual press release is Saturday.

But look at the last line of the PR, it kind of contradicts it:

The itinerary for the "Chinese Democracy" North American Tour is as follows. Tickets for most dates go on sale on the 30th of September with up to the minute information and pre-sales available now at gunsnroses.com.
