In fairness to those people upset with the site, it once again does not look good upon the band that they issue a press release to goto a new site, and the site does not work or is not totally finished. They have had years and months to prove this thing out and test the site so that it is 100% fully functional upon launch. Not to mention they should have loaded all sorts of content features about the band for people who may have been visiting the site for the first time.

It just seems that some people are tired of seeing the band release demos of things, whether it be songs or websites. Expecting a fully finished version of the website upon launch is not an unreasonable request.

But is it really worth making a big deal out of?? NO.  Sure you can be upset about the website and how it's not the way you would want it to be, but to come here and complain about it over and over again, is not needed.

EDIT: How is the site not working for people?? I haven't had one problem with it at all.  I searched through tons of tickets at different venues, checking out prices to see what I might pay when the Cleveland show goes onsale next week and I have not had a problem searching for any tickets, let alone the official site at all.

Are some of you fuckers never happy? I can not honestly believe how some people just dont stop moaning!! There was no gigs - you moaned, we got gigs - you moaned, there was no announcement - you moaned, we get an announcement on the Chinese Democracy tour - you moaned, no website - you moaned, get the website - you moaned! For fucks sake what is up with you people? This is a time to be very happy! Not moan! Mike

Let me add Pepe666 and Lennonisgod to that list of positive people! The rest of you, you know who you are!! Lets be hapy for what is happening at the moment not fucking whine about it!! We have been waiting a very long time for this! Mike

Did anyone stop to think that the rush of people to site might be causing the issues?

I'm actually really happy with the site and how things are going right now. This is what we have been waiting for for so many fucking years, yet people still fucking cry about it. I don't get some of you.? All I can do is thank myself that I'm not like you and letting this wonderful shit that is happening right now, GET ME DOWN LIKE YOU FUCKERS!!! I don't remember ever being this excited concerning this band and I can't wait for what's to come.? What I can wait for is how so many of you will continue the fucking bitching forever, even once the album is out.? Stop being such pussies and crying like babies about the smallest of details and fucking enjoy this time as a GN'R fan. How is that too much to ask???

same here!!!

cant belive how everybody is crying, if they dont like it , go and make your own band and website

If memory serves me right, the Casino Royale movie site was not finished when it was launched

I am sure they will add more to this site in the near future.  No site opens completely finished..

I don't like the look and the poor content either.... but I see this as a BIG STEP .. one more on this good year for us, Axl and his mates keep sayin' CD will be out this year and I believe.. so I AM VERY HAPPY AND SAY YEAHHH TO THIS NEW SITE. Go on Axl we are with you !!! (I hope this site will grow up and feed with good material and updated info)

 beer

On a side note, I hope they don't forget to change the name of the band in their cover templates software... It would be a little confusing find this great album as "Tom Petty's Chinese Democracy"... he he he. ?hihi

Just kidding. ?Lips Sealed

Naupis, are you ever going to stop complaining?

I want the band to succeed as bad as anyone on the board, so naturally I find it disappointing when they don't do everything possible to present the most polished product they can to the general public. We have been waiting on a press release, and we get it the worst media day of the week.

So maybe I am a negative Nanci as someone said earlier, but I am not one of those fans that is happy to get little crumbs when the management team should be giving the public full pieces of bread if they are really serious about this band making a major comeback. There are more than a few people on this board who are highly educated and successful in business that would admit if pressed that many of the tactics and practices GNR management have used are ass-backwards when trying to relaunch a major PR campaign and product launch.

See it as one more step, I'm sure this website will rock when the album is out and the band is on promotion.

With GN'R though, that's how it's been for years and I think everyone here would agree that a ton of shit that has gone on behind the scenes, could have been handled differently.  But whether the website looks "amazing" or just "good" isn't going to make a difference in how successful the band will be. It will be all about the music and even if they didn't have an official site, it wouldn't affect popularity. How many people like a band because of their nice website??

I am surprised there is nothing in there about the referencing of any former band members being strictly prohibited hihi.
They are even in the picture behind the register title, aren't they?? ?crying
Guess the site deal was setup quickly, they copy-pasted some other site to promote the NA tour and from now on things will be growing. At least....if they've learned from the "gnronline mistake" ?hihi
