Frankly I don't think we should have to pay after all the devotion we've shown Axl over the past decade, but oh well. Don't wanna sound like a cheap skate, it just seems a bit insulting that we've all collectively remained so devoted to Axl and now to join a GN'R fan club we have to pay?

I agree.  I actually think it's insulting to make people join any fanclub, but sometimes the benifits are worth it I guess.  Sometimes the price is outragious though, I think it cost 40 bucks to join NIN's fanclub for 1 year. :/

They should offer free membership to people from Philly because of '02.

I don't think it will be as bad as you think. Pearl Jam has had a fan club for about 10 years now, and it's $20 a year. You get a free Christmas single and some fan club tickets to over 90% of their shows (and good tickets too) every year. They also have a website where you can buy all their recent live shows for $10, and the flacs for $15. You get one free download and they send you the cd. If Axl does something like this, it would be very interesting.

I think the internet today can be used a great marketing tool when used properly.

I hope Sebastion is through guesting with GnR on My Michelle. His voice is fucking awful and he drowns out Axl. I can't believe they put this shit on their website. This would not make me want to see the band, if I came across their website, and saw this. Axl put up the footage of Nightrain from Rock AM Ring if you want to gain some new customers.

I agree. Someone mentioned once that originally there was a tiny picture of Slash in the box behind the "Sign Up" text. On a second look, there it was! It was from one of the flyers on the cover of Live Era. Since that time it's been replaced with a pic of Axl & Robin. I thought that was a great move.

Those two clips were professionally put together for UK's Channel 4.

They were in front of one of the biggest crowds on the European tour and most people know how legendary that place is.

It makes a lot of sense to put those on their official site.
