I gotta say ive seen many gnr shows 2 of them with frank and 2 of them with brain gotta say they are both world class drummers but franks seems to be having much more fun up there not to mention he plays YCBM a hell of alot better ans his intro to Mr. B is just as orgasmic atleast that's what I saw? . It's also fair to say frank has played more gigs with gnr then brian an in my opinion which is by no means factual id have to say frank is in for the long haul, but then again what do I know

Brain is a drummer, most drummers are a dime a dozen so honestly I could care less.

I don't feel he was an important member of the band at all.

Thats cause you're a fag.

Brain for Prez!!

I'd vote for him! my favourite drummer in the world and a funny guy....what more do you need in a president?

Was just thinking....

If Brain is gone (and everything points to he is), Frank would be what...... the 5th drummer?

Is that a record for a band?

mm yes, at least, 5 were considered MEMBERS

01- Rob Gardner
02- Steven Adler
03- Matt Sorum
04- Brain
05- Frank Ferrer

then we could count...

06- Josh Freese

and if we include guest appearences and sporadical substitutions...

07- Fred Coury
08- Don Henley
09- Lars Ulrich

and last but definitely not least...

10- Duff played drums on track 11 - The Spaghetti Incident? ''You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory'' (Johnny Thunders)

And I think that is all

yes, thats all true. if you want to go even further back to the 84'-86' period, izzy started his career as a drummer. also, the first drummer to play with izzy and axl (the bands "AXL" and "Hollywood Rose") was Johnny Kreist....Also, the was another drummer for a few gigs in that period Mickey Beats.....

And Chris Wrenna was in GNR too.

For me, Brain is out. If your band is touring the world, you have to be with them.
Anyway, it is the same. There were a lot of people in GNR drums.

Yeah, Chris Vrenna said he was called by Axl while he was touring with the Smashing Pumpkins, but he did not want to join the band after a couple of weeks.

But to be honest, I've never read about Vrenna in GNR from Axl or any other member mouth

I know that when Vrenna saw that it was going to be a long long way to the new album,  he decided not acept to be in GNR.

Anyway, I'm very happy with Mr Ferrer, but I REALLY hope to see Brain again.

I have no idea man. You should ask someone from Uzi's staff.

The only drummers I count are Steven Adler, Matt Sorum, Josh Freese, Brain and Frank Ferrer. So I say they only have had 5.

I saw Brain once, and Frank twice.  I would have like for Brain to stuck with the band through out the tours.  He has been playing live with them since 2001.  But you never know why he took the time off.  He might really need to be with his wife and child and cannot commit to a long world tour.  However, the energy with Frank on the drums is clearly noticeable, and Frank looks like he loves being on stage.

Sometimes I got the impression Brain was just there for the check kind of going through the motions.  Whereas Frank genuinely seems to love being in GnR.  Brain is a great drummer, I think Frank is a better fit for Guns N Roses personally

Did the drummer from the Sea Hags drum in concert after Adler left, right before Matt?

I have never gotten that impression.  He just makes smart ass remarks in interviews to fuck with people and they take it seriously.  I remember an interview where he talked about how proud he was of the music GN'R has made.

Brain is the real deal and in GNR because of the music they are (were) making.

Buckethead is on tap too, saying that him joining GNR has "been a ride like nothing else". Quoted on his old website for an interview with some magazine. Same article where they posted that Axl invited him over for a Holiday Season and had found the Leatherface doll he'd (Bucket) been wanting for ages..

Sure, Bucket brought in Brain (allegedly) but he stayed on until his child was born. Who knows.

I hope he stays, but yeah -- Frank is really a likable, genuine and cool guy. He seems so, anyway. And a thunderous yet funky drummer ?Cool
