I know the talk amongst everyone is that better pretty much is a single.

But wouldnt chinese democracy make a good single?? its a short hard hitting fast paced Rocker. as soon as you hear axls scream you just know "axl is back"

although, the Djs on my station seem to really love better, so who knows..

If you consider TWAT more of a ballad type song I think it's way better than the Blues. I Agree it should be a rocker we havn't heard first, but then TWAT, and then Better.

I like TWAT better than the Blues too but I am just talking radio friendly.....The Blues is a potential cross over hit....modern rock, classic rock, and adult.....

It's been my experience that only GNR fans like The Blues.  Most of my friends who aren't that big into GNR are not fans of the Blues at all.  To me, it sounds like something you'd hear if GNR ever made a broadway musical. 

Better would have made a great choice had it not been leaked. 

Chinese Democracy has a great intro, but it's pretty flat for the first half of the song, IMO.

You need something to really wow people; something that makes people sort of forget that this album is long overdue.

I think CD would  make  a great single. People  have heard it live, it  has leaked to  thousands, so it already has a following. Plus, it just kicks ass.

CD is a bad ass song but not a good first single i'd say more of a 3rd single however i think that they should pick something else besides Better to release since its kinda been released what like 4 times within a year? i don't know but i think it should be something that has a good tune and a hard riffs but something that also has the sound of today so to entise the MTV lovin mother fuckers of todays society. If they do that i think that would be best so they'd reach a broader fan base.

And like i said before i hope that happens cause then i can ware a T-shirt that says "I liked G'n'R b4 it was cool "

I think the studio version of CD kicks ass, but it's pretty heavy for mainstream radio to play it. I think something like Better, which is a bit more 'poppy' would do better.

Good sing along chorus "i wooould doo anything for yoou" killer solo and you can whistle along to a lot of it.  Very memorable, very good, has a good balance of toughness and vulnerability.  Might be a bit long though.
