Finally!!! I'm glad to see they finally had some common sense and released Paris.  She's a beautiful, wonderful person and deserves to be free.  She's done so much for this world and she could be doing even more instead of rotting away in that horrible dungeon for something that other people don't go to jail on.  I'm afraid they just want to use Paris in a martyr/Jesus type way because everyone loves her and will continue to love her.  If they send her back to jail, it's a pure travesty.  We love you Paris and god be with you!  You'd think this country would have a lot more important things to do like continue the glorious fight against terror which we almost have won instead of picking on poor Paris.  I can only hope you people that have said mean things about her ask for forgiveness.    Bill213  Paris!

I'd be fuckin' pissed, if I were the judge.  He specifically said that no alternative sentences could be imposed, and the sheriff and/or prison people went right ahead and did what they wanted.  Can you imagine if they did that in all cases?  "Oh, well, I disagree with the sentence, so you can go, Mr. Dahmer.  Bon Appetit!"

Nah it's getting truly pathetic is what's happening. ?These are our taxpaying dollars hard at work. ?It's fucking bullshit. ?They need to either put her ass in jail and make her serve a regular period of incarceration or just fucking bitch out and release her. ?No way in hell would any other person in this country be treated like this, they'd be left in jail to serve their time and would be treated for any medical issues in jail. ?What next, the governator will stop his agenda and make a ruling on this? ?The dumb bitch voilated her probation...nuff said, throw her in jail and to take a quote from Rocky IV, "if she dies, she dies".

TMZ has learned the reason Paris Hilton stayed at home while the lawyers and judge sat in court is because the Sheriff's Department refused to pick her up.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the Sheriff's position is that the judge does not have the power to order her to court. The Sheriffs believe they have sole jurisdiction to monitor and control Hilton while she is under house arrest.

The Sheriff's Department says they are the only ones authorized to take her anywhere. Thus, the standoff in court.

The issue may have been resolved, but that is why the hearing was delayed thisd morning.

Is it also the Sheriff's position that they are the only ones authorized to decide on criminal sentences in this county?  Are they also the enforcers of the double standard that exists for people like Ms. Hilton? 

Yeah, law enforcement is losing some credibility today.
