LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Paris Hilton was freed from jail Thursday morning, just three days after she began serving what was to be a 23-day sentence for violating probation, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
TMZ.com quoted what it called "unimpeachable sources" saying Hilton left the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, early Thursday.
The Web site said L.A. County Sheriff's Department would hold a news conference at 7 a.m. Pacific time (10 a.m. Eastern) to discuss her release.
Hilton checked into the facility Sunday night to begin serving a sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. The sentence, originally 45 days, was reduced to 23 for various reasons, including good behavior.

LOL... For a lot of people, sex is a big part of the punishment in jail... but I guess she had no problem

She probably cried about being claustrophobic or something, and got away because of that.

This is ridiculous and a travesty. Pathetic Pathetic Pathetic.
Whoever let her out should be impeached.
The point of jail is that IT SHOULD NOT BE FUN AND COMFORTABLE.
This news just sickens me.

We have a President who wants to execute children and the retarded! So, how does this happen?
I'm also confused about something...she served three days, yet it's being counted as five off her "sentence." Any deputy sheriffs or law school flunkies around to explain?
Finally, I just saw on the news that, as her new "sentence" at home begins, she'll be visited by her friends, who are having a make-up party tonight. Goodie!
The only "medical" reason I'm accepting, is if an angry fat lesbian shivved her.

Well, let's see, she did check into jail a few mins before midnight on Sunday, so Sunday is 1 day. And they counted today. When she went in late Sunday, I actually thought to myself that that I bet they count it as a whole day even though it's only a few mins.
How predictable and sad.
They should have used her as an example, but instead they have encouraged the rest like Ms. Lohan.

Judge to Paris: Get Back Here!
Posted Jun 7th 2007 8:24PM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: Celebrity Justice, Paris Hilton
TMZ has learned that a judge has ordered Paris Hilton back to his Los Angeles courtroom, telling her she must attend tomorrow morning's hearing. She could be sent BACK to the slammer!!
Late today, L.A. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo filed paperwork demanding a hearing before Judge Michael Sauer to determine why the Sheriff's Department allowed Paris to get out of jail when the judge had expressly ordered her to serve out her entire sentence.
The hearing is scheduled for 9:00 AM PDT on Friday.
TMZ contacted the Sheriff's Department, but they refused to comment on the case.

On weekends, MSNBC shows hardly anything but their "Lockup" series, about prisons, so they showed some nice footage of what happens to
regular
prisoners when they throw a fit or claim to have mental issues. Some lady had all her belongings taken from her cell, so she couldn't hang herself or anything like that, and then they forced her back in and shut the damned door!
I support the same for Paris...thought if they wanted to "accidentally" leave her enough rope to hang herself with, I'd look the other way.
