''rhyad sounded great [...] nobody noticed when they played rhiad because the biggest part of the crowd was not die hard fan''

Right, I was early there, we entered between the 100 first people to venue, listened songs of Green Day, Korn, Depeche Mode and others, I said It is the voice of axl !!!? and the partner beside me said "Rhyad and The Beduins".

We traveled in bus 8 hours to Mexico DF, arrived at 9AM and there were 40 people in the row approximately !!!
plus 8 hours waiting under the sun? crying but it was a great experience, first time in a concert of GnR? beer

Before the concert started much exhausted or tight people were leaving from "General Admission" Area,

The opening groups happened without glory, being booed during its act. In addition we saw the Mexican Soccer Team lose 1-0 in the screens.

It is worth, just a few meters of Axl,? drool

Hmmmmmm.....interesting, seems quite convenient that it was played before one of their shows on the pa.....in another country where we ALSO conveniently have harder times getting updates on gnr shows COMPARED to shows they've done in America. In other words this is like showing someone a picture of his girlfriend to a total stranger, when the picture could've came off the internet.

Sorry for what? I was at 8000 kilometers when that allegedly happened. I just have read four different people, all of them spanish speaking people, tell our board they've heard the song. Not all the mexicans can read/write in english, that's why I posted what I've read here.

I dont have anything to gain or lose with the motherfucking song being played or not. Believe it or not. All I can say is that now we have the fifth person that has heard the track, but y'all choose not to believe. Well, that's your choice.

Muerto said he was in the first 100 people entering the building. The first person that told me this said the track was played very-very early, with just a few people there. He also replied to my pm's and gave me details, and he's a guy I know for sure that is trustable.

Do what u want. Believe it or not. Its not a big deal anyway, isnt it?

Hey,

I was there with the first group of people in side of the arena, I heard yes Depeche Mode, Aerosmith also Audioslave and after Audioslave it was about 30 or 40 mint when the show started.

The same songs were played in the 3 arenas this means mama kin was played in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City then some songs and Audioslave and thats was when i knew that GNR was coming. After Audioslave was about 40 min before GNR go on stage.

Im a big fan of GNR and i can recognize his voice even if he is sick, Rhiad was not played.
Now we are a community everyone of us can make mistakes is not a battle here to know what was played or not. When i was in Guadalajara i met some guys who were older than me and were fans of GNR so i thought they knew more of GNR than me since in 90?s i was too young but i knew about GNR thanks of my brother, so Mama Kin started and this guys said hey GNR song!!!!! nobody rounds here knows that Mama Kin is from GNR and i was like WHAT HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh
Listen Mama kin is Aerosmith song(Steven Tyler), GNR did the cover and a great cover, so i started to think this guys dont know much of GNR!!!!! but you know its ok i dont have problems if people doesnt remember or dont know exactly everything everyone can make mistakes.

Rhiad was not played im sure of that but again everyone make mistake, now if people thought it was Rhiad they will realize when it comes out.

Also why GNR didnt played Chinese Democracy HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh I heard that song on NY at Hammerstein may 12th.
I really wanted to hear that song when they added Madagascar on Monterrey my first thought was ok so in Mexico City they will ad Chinese Democracy, that didnt happened but you know what now i have more reasons to see GNR, i want to hear Chinese Democracy live!!! HEHEHEH

P.S. Is RHIAD AND THE BEDOUINS not RHYAD

Im off to bed Board is 2am here in Mexico but i came here cause i received a message from LR and wanted things to be cleared.

OMG!!!!!!!!

Please, tell me more details about Rhiad....

Jarmo, wouldn't be possible to have the soundboard guys playing Rhiad without the band knowing anything about it (or before they arrive at the gig)?

I don't think they would do that.

For several reasons.

Well there are definitely conflicting stories going around. Several sources saying several different versions and details. Sounds to me like there might not be too much truth to this overall.

Do you think that if they ever do a Spinal Tap type GNR spoof, "death by axlation" will be used to explain all the drummers?  rofl

I dont understand what the big deal is ?

Have you people become so bored with this band that you would have a serious argument about a song that we have already heard.

Again Rhiad was not played.

Have you ever thought in the possibility of the song being played at the arena, but you don't hearing it? is this impossible to conceive?

Does your mind register everything, all the time? You're from mexico, right? Did you read what I copy/pasted from the people who heard the song? What do u think about it? Different people, from different cities, that don't know each other... all saying they've heard Rhiad... what about ''muerto'' here? All of them said it was played at a lower volume than the rest of the music... is it so hard to conceive the possibility of you not hearing it, because you were chatting, distracted, whatever?

The fact that you did not hear it it doesnt necesarily mean that it didn't happen.

Axl came in at the beginning off-tempo and threw the whole song off.

For those interested, here are some YouTube clips converted to WAV then MP3. Most of the songs are complete and they sound good.
